I'm Grounded.

I think I have a problem...I just counted, and I have made 14 orders in 3 1/2 months this year. I have made three in the past week alone! I think it is time to ground myself. No more orders for six weeks (until June), no matter how tempting the sales are! I will just save my points, and then I can get something big later on.

Do you ever feel the need to restrict yourself from buying here? What's the longest you have ever been able to last without spending anything (cash, gift cards, or points)? This would not include your monthly free assignments, just anything you "purchase" in one form or another. less

Yes I am grounding myself now. I was going to place another order after I got up my points to get some stuff that came back in stock and I had to stop myself. The erason I stopped myself is because of this new Smart post shipping now it is taking longer for my orders to get to me I had to wait a week until I got my first order and the next won't be here until probably Monday. I hate the Smart post crap. I wish they were the same as when I first joined the site. I will wait to save until I can order and do it thru UPS, I just hope the stuff I want is in stock then. less

When did it stop because my last two orders have been this way. I placed a order on Friday the 6th and of course since the weekend it did not go until Monday and I was supposed to get it Wednesday and I did not get until Saturday the 14th. I also did another one on Monday the 9th and I should have got it Friday the 13th and I did not. So it will not be here till Monday. If it is not SurePost then what is it? When I first signed up I was getting my stuff within the two days. less

Girl! I think it's past grounding time, you need spanked! Ha Ha. I'm only kidding, promise. Hey, it's nice that you took some time to think about yourself. I don't think it's a bad idea to take a break for a couple weeks, but it's not a huge deal. Don't beat yourself up about it. I just splurged BIG time! Lol. I bought Zini Deux a few days ago (I'm about to go mad waiting for the darn shipment!) and I believe it costed 130 something just for Deux plus stinkin' tax. Lol. Yes, I am a tight wad!

6 weeks! You are grounding yourself for 6 weeks? That's too long. Lol. Maybe make your goal shorter that way you don't go crazy when you're finally... un-grounded. Lol. Maybe just limit yourself to one order every month? Or set a price limit.

I usually don't have a problem spending too much, but I've wanted Deux for so long that I decided it's about time! Save your points for something big, like you said, that will help. You won't be so frustrated when you want something now. You'll just realize you're saving for something big and maybe the wait won't hurt so bad

I only purchase if I really want something, which is often, but I try to even it out. I've always felt really guilty for spending $ on myself. BAD! But when I've worked really hard, I'll buy it without guilt. I feel as if I somewhat deserve it then. Also, I don't make outrageously huge purchases. I will purchase a few items at once, but I like to be sure that it is something I ACTUALLY want less
