Strap It On - why BDSM? Where could it go?

ScottA ScottA
I've been thinking about the placement of the "Strap It On" forum for a while now. It's currently under BDSM, and while many "strappers" are into the BSDM angles of it, many are not, and putting it in BDSM can reinforce associations that are not always there, whether you're talking pegging, F/F harness use, or other.

Perhaps the forum should be moved somewhere else. It's not completely in the "Everyday Sex" category, but it seems to be more that then BDSM. Any other ideas?

What if it was split into two separate categories maybe one could stay in BDSM and be about role reversal and the BDSM aspects while the other could talk in more general terms about strapons in general

I was actually confused by this before too, but then again I find the entire forum organizational system to be overwhelming.

I see no reason it could not go in the 'sex toy information' or 'every day sex' area's.

I can see why it is in BDSM area, before I came here I only thought of Strap on play as such. With so many couples doing it as part of their normal love making I think it should be in everyday sex.

As Anal Sex is in the everyday category, you make a really valid point Scott. It should be moved I think. Or so I'd vote.

Intent and execution might be the only quibbles...but the same could be said of most 'porn' type anal.

Even if it's in "Everyday Sex" BDSM-type stuff can still be discussed, but most of the discussion is on non-BDSM strapon play.

I am a major strap-on player, both with my b/f and g/f, but I don't necessarily associate strap-on with BDSM.

I agree, actually - I dont think it's especially linked - it can be, but it isn't always so.
