Anal play has always been a covert pleasure of mine (im sure many of you can relate). But i always find that i can only go about 4-5 inches deep > Im no novice; i warm up gradually with different toys with lots of lube and the extra length is there but i always seem to hit an inner wall that i have yet to figure out how to pass. Throwing muscle into it only results in a stabby pain, and i know thats not right. Ive seen the videos where the girls take 2ft of length somehow, i dont want that (well..maybe down the road) i just want to know how you managed to take it deeper? What position do you think helps? Inside the rectum there are three transverse folds called the valves of Houston (why I have not idea). The 1st one is about 2 inches inside, then the other two about 1"-2" deeper. Then you get to the rectosigmoid junction.
The folds are kind of 'soft' stops - that is with some gently manipulation of the dildo or penis they can be bypassed - but the junction with the sigmoid colon is more of a hard stop. According to my anatomy book that's about 15-17 cm (about 6'-7") inside.

Thanks for the info, Gunsmoke and ScottA! This is neat, I have always just been a by-the-seat-of-my-pant s anal player, so I'm glad to be learning some anatomy!
String Of Lights, I just used my first toy longer than ~5/6 inches, the SinFive Alterno. I had a pretty easy time of it (much easier than I had expected), and I think the fact that they were beads instead of a probe helped a lot. If you're not interested in the textures, you might look into the milder Eltiri ... the tiny tip does a great job weaving inside you, so you can get a feel for what it's like. Hope it's helpful, I just thought I'd share what I'd recently learned.
