Post-sex and cuddling aren't one in the same for us, either. Usually, after sex we just head to the shower and then go on our merry ways, since sex hardly ever happens right before bed time, either. We cuddle right before falling asleep and when we do, I enjoy being the little spoon a lot more because it's hard to get my arm around my partner's insanely broad shoulders or under his arm and around his middle is generally not comfortable for me. I'll do it sometimes, though because he loves when I do it.

I have to say that I do not like to be touched while sleeping -- at all. (the weight of the arm, the hot spots/temperature regulation, the crick in my neck and the mattress shifting drive me absolutely mad)

Being only 5 foot if I really really stand tall makes it hard for me to be big spoon since Sigel is 5' 8 and Arch is 6 foot tall! Still I will curl around legs and snuggle around backs if allowed...

Size seems to matter with the spooning. She at 5'3 and me at 6'2. I seem to be the staple big spoon, if she tries she seems to just be more like an ornament getting a piggy back ride.

I think little spoon means the other persons cuddling/holding you? I usually like that more because I'm almost always cold. I just feel like I'm loved when they are holding me like that. Never thought of it in terms of Little Spoon, Big Spoon...but definitely the Little Spoon for me!
Chilipepper - I'm bigger than my skinny husband too, but he has long arms and big shoulders so we can pull it off..my arms are short and stubby, just like me and I need to stretch my arm to be the big spoon! Not comfy..plus, he never lines his butt up just so when he plays small spoon so it just doesn't happen.

My Man is about 15 inches taller than I am, but I can still be the Big Spoon, when HE wants to be enveloped. Sometimes, he's ask for a back scratch, when what he wants if for me to cuddle him from behind. He's pretty Toppy, so I don't often GET behind him but he does like this. I grab an extra pillow and kind of hug him from behind. I can't go all the way around him, as he's a big dude, but just holding on to those big shoulders is so nice....he likes to put his head in my lap a lot. This isn't "Spooning" but similar.
We also cuddle with him as the Big Spoon. We usually don't sleep like this, though. We kind of eventually break apart to sleep.

If it's after sex I usually am the big spoon and am fine with that. If it's just regular spooning though I like my wife to be behind me sometimes but she's a good 10" shorter than me so it's harder for her and she doesn't like it as much so I don't get cuddling that way very often or for very long.

We usually face each other or I lay on his chest. I don't like being very warm for long, and that might be why we don't after sex. But we rarely are very sweaty afterward.

I love cuddling with him but being the big spoon is difficult. Our proportions are just wrong; his shoulders are too broad or he's too tall but I can never get comfortable.
