dv8,
I think you are out of line. Perhaps you were not in a good mood when you wrote that. How is a comment like that going to help the forum?

you can jump on me too. ever heard of the saying, "If you nothing good to say, don't ...
My statement was a concise accurate observation, not an emotional reaction so don't worry about me wanting to strike you through the computer.

If you look at the thread about transgendered kids, Bignuf's reaction to criticism was becoming defensive, talking about herself, ignoring the points that were being made from multiple people, and relying on her prejudgments rather than on critical thought.

She's the one being a bully, flaunting her supposed medical knowledge, experience, and implied intelligence as a crutch to support her arguments when she can't directly back them up otherwise. When she's wrong, she either back-pedals or resorts to inflated self-supporting rants, straying from whatever topic to making herself look good instead. Search the forums and you'll find other instances of this behavior.

Look at this very thread: I called out the hallowed expert for writing "Aid's" rather than "AIDS". Lori obviously understood the jab. Bignuf's reaction was to post SIX posts back to back (windbag), with an irrational assumption that I wanted her to spell out the acronym AIDS, and with her usual assertions of "I've done this" and "I've done that" and "I have friends who..." (pompous).

If someone's going to use a display of intelligence as the foundation for arguments, that display should start with the person's writing, regardless of "Spell Check" which shouldn't be written with capital letters and which is the wrong term since Bignuf's actually blaming autocorrect. Of course, the more important matter is that writing should reflect rational arguments and facts, not appeals to one's personal status.

Bignuf's legacy on the forums isn't that of an open-minded sex-positive thinker; it's that of a narcissist who enjoys showing off her medical prestige or her love for anal sex.

OK, I guess it's true, "There are two sides to every story."

I hope we all can just get along. We're all here to get along and enjoy life. Life is hard enough as it is. I'm also glad nobody is going to reach out and hit anyone else. Esp me.

I agree that you are out of line. Personal attacks should have no place here. If you do not think highly of someone then you should keep that to yourself. People can see for themselves who people are.

A few sayings that everyone who is in this pissing match should take to heart:
"The way of a fool is right in his own opinion, but the one who listens to advice is wise."
"You can't fix stupid so don't try."
"There is no point in talking when no one is listening."

This may fall on deaf ears, but I felt obligated to pass along some wisdom. If you do not agree do not bother to respond because I am not going to get into the pissing match with you. Getting into a pissing match just gets piss all over everyone even the innocent bystanders. Personally, I do not like to be covered in piss. But too each his own. Seems like there are a number of people who could be using their time more productively than trying to change people's opinions that are not going to listen and showing your butt by attacking each other.

Wow ! I'm glad there are members willing to speak up. I think lots of people read this thread but chose to lay low. Of course that is the safe course of action. Nobody wants to create ill feelings. However sometimes positive advice and statements are good for everyone.

Thank you, PP

So glad I decided to read a thread about the state of EF and if personal attacks and nastiness was a problem and find the thread to be a joyful progressive discussion void of personal attacks and nastiness

[major fucking eye rolling... might need eye surgery after this one]
