Today, I watched Jenna Marbles do the cinnamon challenge. The original video is here, but basically she told her fans that if her Facebook page got 1 million likes by Valentine's Day that she would do the cinnamon challenge like people had been posting on her wall asking her to do. As I watched her inevitably cough cinnamon out over most of her kitchen, I got to thinking.

Who the hell was the first person that decided this was a good idea, and why the hell did it catch on? Have any of you done the cinnamon challenge? If you have, why did you do it and what were the results?

Never done it never would, but I eat other things most others wouldnt like habanero salsa and stuff- so to each their own.

I haven't done this, but hey, there are millions of videos out there of people humiliating themselves with various food challenges, seems to be a popular theme.

I love cinnamon in all sorts of things, but I'll stick to eating regular sized/prepared quantities of it.

I haven't done it, but I was the videographer when five of my coworkers did it.

One person completed it.

She puked, about ten minutes later.

Okay.... That was a big waste of 5.07 of my life.

I agree Sam, who though this was a good idea.

And I'm sitting here with a small bowl of peach cobbler I made last night, not wanting to eat the rest of it, because I used cinnamon in it. UG.

Haha, her videos are hilarious but not often something that enriches one's life. I love sitting down and watching them for laughs, lol.

I have never heard of this before.....until now. I had to watch the video and what the hell??! lol. People on youtube will do just about anything for ratings, my god lol! Never done it, never will. Im not that desperate lol

I have a low tolerance for cinnamon, so no...

Guess I am just too boring, but it kills me when people do stupid things just for a video. Even though I watch them with one eye open, wouldn't want to miss anything, you know.

I don't understand how this caught on. There was a girl on Facebook who did it, and then posted herself vomiting it all up promptly. It was disgusting. There's no way in hell I would do that.

People like to do stupid things in front of a camera. The folks at Stop, Ready, Go completed the challenge--the secret is to let it sort of sit in your mouth until it all gets wet. Granted, these were the same people who made onion banana juice in their blender and drank it. So, yeah.
