After receiving the fantastic holiday coupon from EF, I realized that not everything I want is currently in stock. I could have gotten an alternate color that I'm not as crazy about, but I decided to wait instead since the coupon is valid for a few weeks longer. Unfortunately, now 3 more items on my list have gone out of stock making me a sad panda. So my question: What is your shopping strategy with the coupon?

Isn't much of a connundrum for me at all, I never seem to receive emailed coupons. Don't really want to have to ask for them either. Woe is me.
(Hope it has nothing to do with gmail?)
If I did receive the coupon and I was ready to place an order and something I wanted was out of stock it's most likely a product that EF isn't going to restock so I pick something else I like just as much.

Sometimes I don't receive the coupons I have to ask JR.

Well, sometimes I've had out of stock items I want come back in stock really quickly... so I guess it just depends. I'd probably wait and see if it comes back, but I'd make sure I had something else I really wanted on the back burner just in case.

If is is something that I really want, I will try to wait for it. But, I don't stress over it too much. Eden has been very generous with the promotions and I have no reason to think they will discontinue having them.

I make a list of all of the items that I want badly, I label it "This purchase I hope!" I then wait until the last minute, when I hopefully will have an assignment to combine it with to negate the 20+ dollars in shipping I will be paying. This way even if my wants change before I spend my money and my coupon, and even if some of my items are out of stock, I still have enough products that I am totally smitten with to fill out my cart.

Luckily the main item that I wanted was in stock! I had been planning to do a buyout on it, but 35% off is way better than 30%! I filled out my order with a couple of misc. items from my wishlist to hit the free shipping amount.

It would be nice if the product page showed how many were in stock. The website I order body jewelry from does that and it makes it easier to wait on some stuff if I know there are plenty to be had.

The only conundrum I have is that even though all of my items total up to over $59, once the discount is applied it becomes less than $50, so I have to pay shipping fees.

I usually have to wait for points/GC anyway. So most of the time it works out. For the times it doesn't, I just pick something else and try to get it next time.
