I thought the whole episode was completely stupid. Political leaders have been getting laid as much as possible, and lying about it, for as long as there have been political leaders.
At the time, I thought the whole sorry witch hunt was the dumbest, most childish political thing I'd ever see in my lifetime. Looking back, now I see it as the beginning of an era of political grandstanding, at the expense of the security and prosperity of the US. Sadly, that era is still in progress, but maybe it will end soon.
I was a little cranky about the lying part....but if he had been up front about it, I would have been 100% okay with the situation (and left it for his family to figure out). But that lying made me a little wary.
Though time has been kind to Bill, he is generally a very loved figure nowadays!
I didn't much care about what he did, but found the time and money spent on trying to oust him over it to be much more offensive. That said, I think people in his position should exercise a little better judgment and not engage in things that might bring a shit-storm down the road.
