I put other, but that seems so vague and mysterious. I should explain. We're in a committed, monogamous relationship (living together), so I don't think that qualifies as dating, but we aren't married and have no real plans to be. It's not that we don't love each other or want to spend the rest of our lives together (we're certainly planning for it), we just don't see a lot of point in getting married. That is not at all to suggest that marriage is unimportant or stupid - both of us are firmly in support of gay marriage rights for lots of big reasons, (health care and legal issues just to name a few), but for us? We'll probably get married after we have a house but before we have any kids.

I've been dating my boyfriend for almost 2 years now (5 more months) - and we are getting along great. He and I feel that we are perfect for each other, and he's even three years younger than I am. I'm 24 and he is 21, - people tease me about being a cradle robber.

I love that you have been working on a serious relationship and you're still making your way through college. I'm in the same boat and I feel that it can be a little hard to balance working on your classes and still work on your relationship.

'Other' - separated, waiting for the divorce, I already have a FWB situation with my best guy friend from high school. I don't know if I can succeed in dating now that I'm in an older age bracket; I was not the girl that guys would date in high school or college, I was the girl you settled down with (even when I was 16). Here's hoping for something solid ...

I don't know which option to pick for this...I'm in a number of casual relationships. I'm not 'dating' one person and cheating on them or anything like that, just in a number of friendly, non-monogamous relationships with different people. So I guess I'm not really 'single' either.

Had to go with "other".

Emotionally committed to someone, but we're currently on opposite sides of the pond because of school. We've agreed not to label it again until we're on the same side of the Atlantic Ocean... it's one of those situations where we talk as if we're a couple, but technically we aren't. Basically... it's complicated.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm turning 21 in May and my boyfriend just turned 19 in February. We've been dating for three years, so we were 16 and 18 at the time. Being called a 'cradle robber,' among other things, was a daily occurrence, but I take pride in the fact that I've stayed together with him, through the two years of long distance, and everyone else has split up. I hope you stay happy!

I am an "other". I've been with my boyfriend/partner for five years now, living together, raising our children together. But we are not married, and as of right now, have no plans to be.

I've been living with my boyfriend for 3 1/2 years. We'll get married someday. I think we might be considered married under common law now? I don't really know how that works.

I'm with you - it gets better every year - we're up to 21 years and still love being together. The kids are going to college - so we're beginning a bit of a Renaissance!

Id be in the famous "other" option. I’m in love and living with my partner. We have been together for 5 years now living together for 2 of them. We have a 2 year old daughter and a son on the way. So it feels like married life, but we're not actually married, just yet anyways!
