At the age of 39, my current girlfriend enjoyed her very first toy. Since then the collection has grown and tends to a couple favorites which I know will take her over the edge.

I always pick out a toy for foreplay. Sounds silly, but my husband sometimes does get a bit jealous with my toys. The only toy he doesn't mind me using all through our sex sessions is my butt plug, since he benefits from the effects too!

When we first got together, my hubby said that if it ever came to a point where we needed toys, there was something seriously wrong. However, over time, I gradually introduced some stuff - starting mostly with arousal gels and then going from there. Now we regularly (but not always) use toys. He does not like for me to use them by myself. As long as he operates them, he is fine with it. And like I said, it's not every time. He likes to feel he can get the job done on his own as well. Truthfully, it's much easier (usually) for me to climax using a toy, but I don't complain when he doesn't use one - that way he doesn't feel like he can be replaced.

We have shopped together, first on catalogs, then online, for the entire 31 years we have been married, and then wait with excitement to try out our new toys. That may be WHY we are happily married after 31 years, eh?

My guy doesn't have any problems with them, but he's never actually shown any interest in using them with me. Solo for now it is... we'll see...

My fiance doesn't mind me using a vibrator once in awhile but that is about it. Guess it's just a guy thing! He doesn't want to feel "replaced"

Yes - that's normal for a younger guy. But when his strength wanes - he may welcome the help of other toy options. Happened to me in my mid-50s.

Exactly. My husband is in his 50s and when I started early peri-menopause my previous hair trigger orgasmic ability was seriously challenged. HE bought me my first few sex toys, and we've bought many together.

We make love and toys or not it's great. I think at one point, I was exhausting him, before we started using toys more frequently and I was having a hard time coming. He gets me about 99% of the way there the first time, and then we usually have to pull out the big guns for me to come. Of course, he can't be in two places at once, so a dildo or phallic vibrator is really fun during oral sex. Usually, I don't even turn on the phallic vibe, because I want to totally feel what he's doing at the moment. The vibrations, for us, get turned on right as I'm nearly at my first climax. Then I can usually have more with whatever we're doing, even fellatio, which he totally gets off on.

It's funny, because we never used sex toys years ago, and I wonder if we should have. Part of it was his getting older and perhaps not having the same stamina Although, as most older men do, he lasts longer than he did when he was younger, he just gets worn out more easily. But, as I like a nice 2 or 3 hour marathon, I can understand.

For any reason, we both enjoy the toys.

Basically I've been the one brining the sex toys in to the bedroom. She's totally cool with it, and likes trying most of them.

My husband's not cool with any internal ones and won't help me use them. With the external ones, I try to incorporate them into our sessions sometimes, but am usually left finishing alone.
