Ever buy a sex toy just because it's so damn pretty?

Oh yeah I have been suckered into this. Isla by Lelo. Worst ever purchase in my opinion.

All my toys have to be pretty to me. It doesn't matter if a toy matches my specifications, if it's ugly, I won't be using it.

And I've also bought some toys strictly for the looks. They were a bit bigger than I liked, but I wanted them regardless.

Oh yeah. Both wanting something for a long time because it's pretty, and impulse buys.

Honestly, sometimes I just want to get 500 glass toys and use them to decorate my apartment. Some of them look so nice!

It's so hard not to buy pretty things. I have a glass toy that I can't even use, but it's beautiful and rose shaped so I got it. Maybe I'll work my way up to using it one day! Crossing my fingers!

I'm with you guys on the glass! I just recently got my first glass toy--the Avalon, haven't even tried it yet--and it's so beautiful, even that simple little thing, that I just know glass is going to be my new sex toy addiction.

I have one toy I bought due to visual appeal, in the end it turned out to be a favorite, so it worked out well.

Lelo products get me every time. I'm a real sucker for a well designed, aesthetically pleasing toy with good packaging and a consistent brand tone.

I'd be lying if I said that part of the reason I splurged on the Pure Wand (ok ok...other than the billion rave reviews and too many promises of gushing orgasms) was that it just looks frickin' cool.

I'm coming to the conclusion that I have a problem - if I don't find my toy attractive, it can't turn me on.

And I'm sure I'll splurge on more pretty toys soon.

I wish! I would buy a few things for looks if our budget was better.

Looks have played a big factor in purchases, but it's not a mandatory thing when buying.

If I could afford it, I would do this all the time! Currently, I'm loving the look of the Love Journey by SSA glass. The pink color plus the heart handle is just too cute [I'm on a pink toy kick at the moment] but I know that since it has no texture, I most likely won't use it... but it's just so pretty!
So to answer your question, I do share this illness I just can't indulge very often.

Yes I share in your illness. I bought a set of a vibe and lube in a little container all because it was on sale and the name was 101 hot Arabian Nights. I couldn't resist.

All my toys must have both form and function that are to my liking. No exceptions!

I haven't run into a toy that works well and is unattractive, but I do prefer my toys to be pretty/cute to me. If the toy is pleasing to look at them and touch then it just adds another level to the purchase for me. Of course if a toy is pretty but it doesn't work then that's a no-no. And if a toy looks bad but it works well I'm not really sure but I imagine I'd still like it just due to function.

I don't care what it looks like for the most part, because it could be the best toy ever! Then, that ugly toy suddenly is the most beautiful thing you've ever laid eyes on.
Those tantus toys though, those just plain creep me out to begin with. If it's not gonna fit, I'm not gonna buy it because I work hard for my money and have little of it, so I'm going to make it well spent.

looks are important, but if they don't function like you want, isn't it kind of a waste of money?

I have seen a few toys that just catch my eye and I want them, but I leave them on my wishlist for a little while then I usually end up buying it in the next few days.
