On Facebook today there is a post from ID Him, showing a gallon jug of lube. I asked them if it came with a pump top and what the shelf life is. They answered that it does have a pump top and the product life is three years.

I am thinking it would last me at least two years. lol

So, my question to y'all is, if the price was right would you buy a gallon of lube if it worked good for you?

I'm really, really torn on that honestly. I mean, it would obviously have to be one that I knew I liked. But at the same time, I change my hair color a lot for a reason, I get bored with things easily. I can't imagine what I would do with a whole gallon of lube that I got bored with, lol.

I probably would. I've been trying different lubes, but I seem to keep going back to the same ones.

I would have to know that it worked well for me. Unlike Sam I do tend to stick with lubes that work for me, just because I have some chemical sensitivity and many of them burn, which is not fun at all.

If I knew it worked for me and would last I'd have no problems.

I too would have to make sure it was a lube I really, really liked. Plus, I have no idea where I would keep it. lol I'm torn on it too.

I know that regular sized bottles of lube last me quite awhile anyway. I can't imagine I could ever go through a gallon before it went bad. I'd be really impressed wih anyone who goes through so much lube that they had to buy it by the gallon.

Agreed, I was looking around for a bigger picture and found one that was of a smaller (1/2 gallon?) and it came with a small bottle. I think that would be the best bet.

I make my own lube using guar gum and water. I make it as needed and the guar gum container is only 8 ounces, which will give me much more than a gallons worth. Plus the guar gum will last much longer and storage is not an issue, so I dont need to get something like this, lol.

Just as a by the way, in case they ever come in and read this particular thread to find out if I'd buy it because i'm crazy famous 6 months from now, PJUR, I would TOTALLY buy a gallon of your bodyglide and do TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE things with it.

I'd only buy this if I busted out a slip and slide, lube would be way better then water. There is no hiding this and would become a hassle.

So just for fun, I looked at what the price may be. EF sells a 35.5 oz bottle for 42.99. It takes 128 oz to make a gallon. That is roughly $172 for a gallon. I would imagine you would get a discount for quantity.

Now, in my year here I have bought, just in water based anal lubes, about 6 bottles of Maximus (8.25 oz at $15.99 = $95.94) one bottle of Climax Burst anal lube (4 oz at $9.99) one bottle of Anal Lube (6 oz at $9.99) Grand total, 59.5 oz for $115.82. OK so I would have to buy about 3 more bottles of Maximus to spend the same amount, that would give me a bit over 41 oz more. So that gives me 100 0z for the same price as the gallon.

So, it would take me more than a three years to use it but cost less. If only Maximus came in a gallon jug.

That's a lot of frigging lube! I guess that porn studios and brothels may buy it like this and put it into smaller bottles? Maybe the Playboy Mansion or Charlie Sheen's house has a gallon jug of this?

My Man and I were lucky enough to be able to sample Sliquid Ride H2O lube in a 8.5 oz bottle. It has lasted a very long time, we are only a little over halfway done with it and I have to clean the spout out every few days, because it tends to crystallize in the little spout. I couldn't get any out today, and stuck a pin into the cap, and a huge mass of crystal lube came out. It wasn't gross or anything, but it is hard to get the stuff all the way to the top of the bottle if we forget to store it upside down. Eight point five oz is a LOT less than a gallon. It's the largest bottle of lube we've ever had. I just bought a new one, because it's hard to get out of the bottle. I figure I'll use the new one, and when both are only half full, put them together for a full bottle that will pour easily.

It is our favorite lube.

Once we did a Mazola night...once. I had hair down to my ass and it took a BUNCH of Dawn to get it all out. I swear it was still in my hair three days later. And the Water bed? I drained it, took it to the car wash and replaced the liner. LOL!

It was a lot of fun though. It would be so much easier with a water based lube.
