I'll take them out of everything except my one pocket rocket, and that's only because the battery gets stuck and is really difficult to take out.

I always do now. It increases both the lives of the batteries and your toys (by prolonging the life of the metal contacts). Plus, that way I don't have to dig as deep for batteries when I have a bunch of the same lying in the same spot.

I voted always, but it's more like I always try to but sometimes drop the ball. Like I've stopped using Moka for a while but I only just now took the batteries out.
