Probably. It's got an impressive vroom and bee rating for such a cheap toy. But there's a ton of other bullets with similar stats here. I wouldn't risk not being able to fully remove the rubber.

I saw a few reviews mentioned the wires snapped or the mouse otherwise broke--I'm curious to know (for anyone who's experienced this), how long did it last before that happened?

I agree with vanilla&chocolate. I don't even notice that it's a mouse, but the shape and texture is amazing.
