This is my first toy, let alone glass toy. What are the advantages and disadvantages of other materials? Did I pick a weird starting place? I do like it, but it didn't rock my world so to speak.

I love my Kissa, but you may want to start with a silicone vibe. The material is very soft and smooth.

I hated this toy.

It was not my first toy, either, but I couldn't get it inserted in me without a lot of pain.
Clitorally, it's glass so it's unyielding and not the MOST comfortable toy, but not terrible. The texture was good clitorally, but the vibrations were majorly weak. I enjoy power with clitoral vibrators.

I started with a glass dildo and loved it but honestly, this vibrator scares me a little. Glass is unyielding so, while I'm sure that has some rockin vibrations, the thickness and odd bumps look very uncomfortable. After glass I went to some medium quality plastic vibrators, if you are still interested in sex toys that's what I would suggest. Doc Johnson's Black Magic is what I started with, after my ever classy Pink Double G, and although this isn't the highest quality set, it's a no-fail place to begin. Good luck and have lots of fun!
