My hitachi gets used as an actual like, wholesome massager, haha. It's way too intense and too big for me. I did just get an attachment to try to concentrate the buzzing to a smaller area. My fingers are crossed; it would be cool to use it without it numbing my whole crotch.

You should seriously consider investing in something like the Eroscillator or the Smart Wand by Lelo. The Hitachi is too intense for clitoral stimulation. At first I'm sure it felt great but it will soon counteract itself. The vibration is so intense that it will cause desensitization through nerve damage and micro-tears. You can rehabilitate the area using toys with medical grade silicone... that is the exact purpose for the Eroscillator. Please do not ever use the Hitachi for anything other than muscle relief... on the low setting.

I tried some similar, less expensive ones and they do not compare. They either didn't work well, were even louder than the real thing, or broke after one or two uses. IMO, the Hitachi is a must have in your toy box. The cons - it is loud, and it does have to be plugged in which limits how/where you can use it. The pros - when used alone, it is great for a quickie (I mean super quickie), and is great for use with a partner in certain positions.

The Hitachi may be okay for some, but this is my absolute LEAST favorite sex toy I have ever purchased. It wasn't a complete waste of money because I can still use it as a back/body massager but I found it to be WAY too intense and numbing. I even bought an adjuster and it still numbed my entire crotch. I would say unless you need extremely strong vibrations (as in you have tried other strong toys and they don't work for you). I would not recommend it. It was very disappointing, and sits in my box and never gets used (except when I have a sore back).
