It depends on what you want out of it. Personally, I can't imagine using it during partner sex, although I can't say that I've tried--it's just too bulky, and I don't want to spend all of my time figuring out how to position it and untangling myself/my boyfriend from the cord. I've never had an issue with the size using it solo, but I do tend to like vibration over a broad area--if you like pinpoint stimulation this isn't for you. If you're just worried about your hand/arm getting tired, it's not a problem--the Hitachi's so strong that you'll come long before your muscles start to hurt.
