So I love my acuvibe mini- it's got a nice strong deep thrum-y vibration - BUT it's only strong for about the first 5 minutes out of the charger. After that it's weaker and doesn't take long at all to drain completely. So I decided I wanted something that plugs in so I wouldn't have to deal with the power dying and ordered the Fairy Mini that came yesterday. While it's strong, it's only AS strong as my acuvibe on its highest setting and the vibrations are more...shallow? They just don't seem to have the same penetrating power of the acuvibe. I also really like the deep thrum-my vibrations of my Wahl but I just don't find any of the attachments functional for me personally (although for actually body massage, it's amazing). So is there anything out there that will have the strength of my acuvibe but without dying on me? I'm really tempted to order the Hitachi but I'm concerned about the size of the head on it and honestly, I don't want to be as disappointed as I was with the Fairy.

Also, the Fairy, while I was warned by the reviews, is LOUD. Are all the other equally powerful wands equally noisy?

The Hitachi's vibrations are much deeper than the Fairy Wand! The head size is nearly the same as the Fairy Wand (plug-in one). I love my Hitachi. I have had the rechargable Fairy (returned it due to sort battery life), own the Fairy Wand (plug-in); it's in our toy box, but the Hitachi is ALWAYS plugged in and waiting on the nightstand, ALWAYS!

But yes, they are loud!

I've been wondering about this too. I have a fairy mini, and I just don't like how it feels. So I don't know whether or not I should try a hitachi because I can't tell if it's the wand style I don't like or simply how the fairy performs. I'd love to know what people think who have both.

So fairy and Hitachi do feel quite different then? That's good to know

I believe they are very different. In less than 5 minutes, I am completely numb with the Fairy (on the medium to high setting-the low setting does NOTHING for me) and nowhere near orgasm.

With the Hitachi, (totally different!) on the high setting I can go 40 minutes without being numb (tingly yes, numb no) and have countless orgasms!
