What's the biggest age gap you've experienced with a partner?

My husband is 15 years older than I. We have issues related to age, but I feel more secure with him than my ex-hubby, who was my age but acted like he was five.

I have dated guys younger than I was. It was just for the sex, I'll admit it.
However, I did sleep with a guy 5 years my senior once. I have always dated guys my own age I suppose. My hubby is 6 months younger than I am. We joke about me being his old lady. heh.

My first husband was 12.5 years older than me. It was ok, but at the same time it was difficult at times, we had WAY different childhoods (which can happen in a small gap too I realize) and different views on A LOT of things, but age isn't what got between us in the end. I have ALWAYS dated older men.

Roses - sorry the 1st one didn't work out. But you're probably right it wasn't the age difference that caused the rift. I'm 11 years older than my wife but the difference is that our views, on most issues, are very close - so the frictions are minimal and none have to do with age.

My boyfriend is nine years older than I am. Before him, I briefly dated someone seven years older. I also saw a couple guys around my age. The current gap hasn't been an issue so far. We're in different places in life (school versus work), but it doesn't feel too dramatically different. It helps that he's not quiiite ready to settle down/buy a house/have kids. I'm hoping we'll reach that point at around the same time. I can dream!

I've always been interested in older men. When I was a teenager, I liked high teens, early 20s. When I was 20, I liked 28-32ish. Now at 29, I like 28-42ish.

It kind of hits a cap when things start sagging though although I can like 50 if it's a handsome man that keeps his muscles in shape.

My wife is 25 and I am 47. We met in Jan, engaged in March, and married in June of 2006. We will be celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary and couldn’t be happier. This is the best relationship we have ever had.

Biggest age gap was 21 years. He was much older than myself... I don't tend to be attracted to men my age. It lasted only three months because he ended up moving out of the country, but we still talk.

When I was 18 I dated a 45 year old man, the sex was great, we got along great and had a lot in common it was a lot of fun and I might have considered marriage but about six months in I discovered he couldn't get married.. yep already was... ended that.

Currently my man is 24 years older, again we have so much in common personality wise, enjoy the same types of humor, same types of activities. Have not consummated this one yet though so I can not comment on the sex.

I have dated younger men too, the biggest gap was 10 years younger. He was athletic in the sack, a lot of fun sex, very energetic... but so emotionally immature that it did not last.

One time sex partner- I think it was 8 years. It wasn't weird because he only seemed a year or two older.
I know it's a typo - but you wrote "my current partner is 3 years old" and it made me laugh out loud

A guy I dated prior to joining the Air Force was 41, I was 18. It went swimmingly! And he didn't look a day over 29 (he used to be in the Marines, and took very good care of himself). He knew quite well what he was doing, and figured out very quickly what I liked and didn't like (and I learnt the same of him). I do not date younger than me, or typically my age. There are no men that catch my interest that are my age or younger.

It was a purely sexual relationship, that being said he had all the stamina of a man my age and all the experience of a man his age. In short.. it was great!

I'm 24, and my Sir is 48. He and I have wonderful chemistry, and the age gap doesn't bother either of us at all.

I guess I have a thing for older women as my wife is 4 months older than I am.
Since she is the only one I have been with, my answer would be a whopping 4 months!

I met my soon to be husband 8 years ago and have been together for 4years. Im now 24 and he is 34. We have never seen age between us. Even tho I like to say things like 'oh when you were a graduating I was 7' *giggles* He knows its all in fun. He has been my best friend, best lover, best in the world to me and no number matters

When i was 19 I dated someone who was 36. It never bothered me really. We fit well enough. Just our future goals in life were different so it ended.
Age never mattered much to me really. But boy was my mom not liking it haha. What matters is what's in peoples heart. Nothing more.

My biggest gap was only 3 years. I've just never been interested in anyone that's been significantly older or younger than me.

Around ten years was the oldest. It wasn't such a good idea, but age wasn't the reason.

Seven years, he was 21 and I was 28 and at first it was fun and he had this never ending energy but after a while it began to wear and because we was only 21 he was quite irresponsible. By then I had a real job and a life and could not stay with a guy that had no idea what the real world was about.
