Has anyone ever held/been to a sex toy party?

I love sex toys and if I ever felt comfortable enough with the people throwing the party, and also had some dough, I would totally go.

I've been to one before, held by the company "Slumber Parties." It was a blast! I didn't know any of the other girls there, aside from my cousin who brought me along, but since they were my cousin's friends we all got along very well. The woman who hosted it was very approachable, but professional, and when we were ready to order, we went into the bathroom with her to place our orders for discretion.

As long as you're with the right crowd of people, it can be a lot of fun. I didn't buy any toys, although I wanted to, but I did walk out with some Coochy Shave Creme (it was my first bottle, and I love it.. gotta get more!) and a product called "Nympho Niagra" which was awesome.. it was a clit stimulator that did pretty much what the name states. I got both of those products for less than $20, so I was pretty happy.

I've actually looked around for the Nympho Niagra and haven't been able to find it anywhere but Slumber Parties, so I may have to host one myself when I move into my own place in a couple months.


During the party, we passed the toys around, and were able to test any creams, pheromone sprays, etc, if we wanted to. Afterward, we all went to a club, and guys were flocking around us, so the pheromone spray must have worked!

I've been to one before. It's fun. You tell stories and play games and then just buy toys or accessories. A friend of mine bought the strangest thing at a sex toy party - a penis-shaped lipstick. Eww.

I went to one that was held at the house of someone from work. I was quite excited about it and it was quite funny. I sat beside a guy friend and the lady made us pass aroud the toys and when I handed him this falshing wiggling rabbit vibe he just closed his eyes took it and passed it on. I think he wished he had never gone, or wished he never knew toys existed, it was quite entertaning. I teased him a lot.

I have never been to one. A cousin of mine went to one her co worker was hosting, she didn't like it said the girl from the company was boring where's her co-worker had gone to one that was fun and that is what motivated to host one.

Been to two, haven't held one. It's a lot of fun depending on who your hostess is. My friend works for Pure Romance and sells sex toys and sexual health products. The parties are fun, they usually have some mixed drinks, pajama parties, and games to play. Our generally lasts at least 2 hours. I loved the ones I've been to.

I have hosted a sex toy party and thankfully I really lucked out with my consultant as she was well informed, educated and very open minded. My party was mainly geared toward straight and bisexual women because that's just who happened to be attending, although this particular company/consultant also offer GLBT and couples parties. The toys are overpriced, yes but it was a fun experience. I actually became pretty good friends with the consultant and enjoy a lot of what her company does.

Athena's is the company and they actually offer training for their consultants, unlike the other companies out there. I've thought about becoming a consultant with them for quite some time now but certain circumstances in my life have been preventing me from doing so.

Also, she brought NO jelly toys.

I would not be able to keep my mouth shut if the consultant knew less than I do about safety and toys in general, which would spoil my image as a sheltered and naive prude, so I think I'd better steer clear.

I've been to a couple in the past, but the information about toys that I get here is so much more valuable. Not to mention the prices of the products at the parties were quite high in comparison to what I found them for elsewhere.

I have been to quite a few and hosted twice in the past. They are always a great time. But when I host I do it co-ed. The toys are not always the greatest but I did get my wevibe there free (you get a percentage of the total of the party free). They are always a hoot. We have drinks and laugh.

I would be willing to go but after some of these stories i think i'll pass.

I kind of wished that I could attend such a party a while back. A friend I wasn't really close to mentioned one she attended, but I was not comfortable attending one with her. It is unlikely the opportunity will come up again. Most of my friends are nerdy guys who are pretty quiet about their sex lives if they have anything like one at all. My few female friends moved away. But I like keeping this stuff between my partner and I now!

I've been to one. They are so much fun! Have a few drinks with your friends and just laugh while learning about sex toys. In my opinion it shouldn't be taken too seriously.

I've been to a few, but the stuff they have on EF is way more affordable and the people who are selling the products at the parties that I've been to usually don't know enough information to even be going the job they are doing.

I went to one when I was in college hosted by a Pure Romance rep. It was fun. She had games to play to get coupons for the toys, or free products, and she brought along a huge tub of toys to show off. Wish I could do something like that.

Does EF do parties?

They sound kinda cool but I've never been to one.

OMG. Terrible. Almost everything, if not everything, was made of jelly (which she didn't even know) and it was mostly about the lubes and shower gels. Everything was GROSSLY overpriced. They were charging $160 for a jelly rabbit. I knew more about her products and pricing than she did. It was entertaining though.

I would love to go to one!!! But not if everything is overpriced.

I know!!! I shall just lug my toy chest, host my own and have everyone place orders here.

I do Athena's Home Novelties parties, some of the stuff is a tad more expensive than their counterparts here on edens but they do have a lot of stuff that is completely unique to them. Not to mention hosting has some good benefits and they do give their people a LOT of training. Also I'd like to mention that even the BLINDFOLD I use with the pin the junk on the hunk game while I'm in the ordering room is NOT used for ANYTHING but party games! I'd love to slap the wench who displayed used toys...*shudders* I make a 35% commission on my sales with them, so the money is good and the hostess gets 10-15% of the party sales towards free stuff. And if the party goes over say $200 in sales I give my hostesses a free bottle of Pure Instinct or an Amazing Hot Heart. Ive got a party next month that the hostess wants a Pure Instinct and to play games, I work with my hostess and try and make it fun.

so yea, wanna host an Athena's party anyone? I'll help ya find a rep in your area or if your in mine I'll be ur rep lol. Also they also do just spa parties, those kids can be at, the other ones uh no...can u say jail time?

After reading these comments, especially concerning overpricing and uninformed or unprofessional reps, it seems to me that it might be a better idea to hold a sex toy education party. That is, less about sales and more about informing people of materials, shapes, uses, maintenance, etc. And possibly directing people to good shops or websites like EF, and helping people figure out what they might like. Have some drinks, play some games, and have a fun time.

I've never been to a sex toy party, but I think I'd like to try it just once. My mother was invited to one, but since she isn't interested in toys she declined (all of her coworkers being there might have also had something to do with it, hahaha!).

yea, i tend to focus my presentation on the use and materials of the products. I pull heavily from stuff I learned here on edens, and point out what materials are steralizable and which ones arnt. How to care for em and stuff like that. I've actually had a few people give me really surprised looks and say 'wow im glad i didn't try and boil my jelly toys!'

They go on a lot in my area and to be honest, the ones around here are just a way for some cheap company to make millions! You wouldn't believe the outrageous prices on those toys at parties and the party itself. It's ridiculous! You can buy the same things online for at least 70% off! I think they're overrated big time!

yeah.....the prices are super high--and I don't think that they are that high quality. I bought a Mini Magic Stick from Pure Romance at the end of January and it broke by April....and it wasn't even my go to toy.

Yes, you actually pay to become a representative and host parties to sell THEIR products. It's really time consuming and honestly, not a very forgiving job to have unless you live in an area where it would be possible to make a lot of money from it. I never sold the toys, but was a representative for a similar company and it just was not worth it! It's really a lot of trouble.
