The Doc Johnson Classic Butt Plug isn't the first butt plug I purchased. I was just browsing and decided that something called, "Classic" couldn't be a bad thing to give a shot. The taper on the Classic Butt Plug is pretty gradual so if you're experienced to Anal toys it doesn't prove to be anything outrageously difficult. The Classic is made from Rubber (Porous) so it's important to make sure you're quite careful in taking the precautions to prevent the spread of bacteria. If you're going to be sharing this toy with a partner it's quite vital to use a condom, however since I don't share this toy I haven't chosen to use a condom when playing with it.
The base of the Classic Plug is typical of your standard run of the mill butt plug. It's flared quite well at the bottom to prevent and issue of the toy being drawn into your body. However I must say the flared base could be a bit more sturdy. While it does it's job quite well it isn't the most sturdy base I've ever experienced on a butt plug. Not once did I think it was going to be a problem but it did seem a bit flimsy which is something that could easily be addressed by Doc Johnson. The plug does a great job of staying in place and I haven't had any issues with it wanting to come out, but the comfort level of keeping this plug in place makes it something I wouldn't want to wear for extended usage.
The Classic is quite a sizable toy. It's probably a bit too large for anyone inexperienced to Anal Play however for some more experience people it may not prove to be the size they're looking for. It does provide a great initial pop upon insertion and the feeling of fullness is quite good. But there always seems to be something lacking when I'm using this toy. I'm unsure if it's the fact that it isn't as comfortable as other plugs I enjoy or not but this plug doesn't keep me coming back as frequently as others do.

Only if you are used to using penises/dildos/probes as wide as the largest diameter of the plug. otherwise, look for something smaller.

If you are completely new to the anal thing, I'd try something with a thin shaft, like the Njoy Small Plug.

Does anyone find the length on this an issue? Im not sure if everyone is different or what but when i tried this i found it hard to get past the widest girth. I know that it being wide wasn't the issue because i had used a toy slightly wider.

Classic butt plug royal - can someone confirm specs

trader411The pic on the site for the black version is slightly different from what I've found for the white version elsewhere. Can someone confirm that the pic on edenfantasys is accurate? Also, can someone actually take a tape measure and confirm the circumfrence? At this size even a quarter inch makes a difference. -

The picture you've linked is the old style. It was significantly larger than the new one, and had a very flimsy base that has been known to fold up and follow the rest of the toy in to your bum.
As far as I know, you can't find the old one online. Vendor's simply haven't updated the pictures, but it's identical to the white one (which seems to be updated more frequently).
The current model is somewhere between 2, to 2.25" in diameter. It's no where near 2.5"
I was an original owner of the larger model, but was never able to accommodate it's entire girth (I swear it was well over 2.5"). I ended up tossing it during a move, without realizing that it's impossible to find anymore. The new version just doesn't live up to the original, but the sturdy base is a welcomed improvement. -

With a 2.5" diameter, this toy is really meant for the experienced anal player. I can imagine that there would be a pretty good 'pop' on insertion and a real feeling of 'fullness'. Is the base the reason you didn't feel comfortable with long term wear? Thanks for mentioning condom use. What's your favorite lube to use with this plug? Thanks for the review.
2.5" is bloody huge and it's not as soft like UR3 stuff. I can't imagine using it. Thanks for the review.
I typically use ID Glide when using this plug. Not the most expensive Lube but it works quite well.
