Different Design, Only Ok Results

Overall this is an ok toy. It's nothing to write home about but will get the job done for most. Being made out of silicone is one of this toy's greatest strengths. This isnt a bad toy it's just there are many other toys with a better design.

Use

The Li'l Guy is classified as a butt plug. This means it's mainly designed to be used anally, although it could theoretically be used vaginally or orally with the proper cleaning. Butt plugs have three main purposes. One, they can be used to provide additional stimulation to other activities such as masturbating or any form of sex. Two, they can be used for stretching out the anus for larger toys or anal sex. Three, some can also be worn long term either for psychological or physical pleasure or for the above stated purpose of stretching out. While usable the first two ways, this butt plug does not have a good design for long term use. Probably its best use is either during masturbation or during sex in a position that will not have the butt plug facing downward. Gravity tends to make this butt plug slowly come out.

One other use for this toy since it's made out of silicone is temperature play. The toy can either be heated in warm water or cooled in the freezer. This can provide a different feeling that some find very enjoyable. The heat can also help in relaxing the muscles helping in initial insertion. While it does not have any moving parts and thus does not create any noise, this is still not the best toy for traveling due to its none discreet design. But it is fairly small and thus travel use is an option.

Material / Texture

As mentioned above, this toy is made 100% out of silicone. Silicone has a lot of great properties to it and really adds a lot of value to a toy. The packaging on the toy openly brags about several of these, one of which is that silicone does not contain phthalates. Silicone comes in a variety of hardnesses. This toy has relatively firm silicone. Very similar to the type Tantus uses in theirs. It does have some give to it when squeezed but it's no where near as soft as Vixen Creation's regular silicone.

This toy has a very very slight smell brand new. It's best described as a sweet smell not the same as Tantus' smell but similar. After anal use it does not appear to hold onto smells which is nice since some silicone does. It has no taste either.

The silicone is a light blue in color. Not many toys have a color like this and depending on personal preference you may like it or not. The silicone used has a fair amount of stickiness to it and tends to attract lint and hair very easily (one of the few negatives of most silicone toys). It would be best to keep the toy in some sort of container to help try to avoid this as much as possible. This is easily remedied with a wash under water before use. While bringing up washing, I don't normally mention it but this toy actually already had some white stuff on it when I got it. It is always recommended to wash your toys with soap and water when you get them just in case. For those really paranoid silicone can also be sterilized before use as well.

Design / Shape / Size

The Li'l Guy has a little bit different shape than most butt plugs. The tip takes a huge part of the toys around 4" insertable length. This alone isn't too unusual however designs that do have a large tip normally have a gradual increase in diameter such as this one. One benefit to this is with the flat tip you don't have to worry about the toy every feeling pointy and it is still fairly easy to insert with some warmup. This toy has a very rapid increase to 1 1/8" at which it stays consistent until the bulge which then goes all the way out to 1 3/4" and then shrinks back down to 1.25" for the last .75" after. This is an unusual design and had me questioning its effectiveness.

[The base on this toy is 2.75" by 1 5/8" and has Doc Johnson stamped on it. It's a fairly basic but effective design and fairly comfortable for short to medium term use.

Performance

I was really surprised with how easily this toy slipped in. It has a very quick increase in size and this I thought would cause issues with insertion. It did not. The long tip is nice as it allows you to just leave it there for a little while before you tackle the big ripple. If it wasn't for the ripple this would be a "Little Guy" but with the ripple being 1 3/4" in diameter, I would not recommend this toy for those first starting out. One thing I expected and proved to be true is because the neck on the toy is so short it doesn't stay in as well as something like the Tantus Ace which has a very long neck. If you stand up with this toy in, it's almost guaranteed to fall out on you. The base almost looks like it could act as a suction cup but it does not have anywhere near the suction to be used in this way.

Care and Maintenance

Being made out of silicone this toy is very to care for. The two main cautions with silicone toys is first to not use silicone lube with them as this can possibly degrade them or at least make cleaning difficult. The second is not to store silicone toys touching one another. This can cause a reaction that leaves one or both toys discolored or disfigured. Other than that cleanup is very easy with soap and water. If you are planning to share sterilization is an option with silicone by either boiling the toy in water for 3 minutes or soaking in a water/bleach solution.

Packaging

The packaging on this toy is ok. It's not great but I've seen worse as well. Both Doc Johnson products I'm currently reviewing came in the same style packaging. It's definitely not discreet and while decent for storage it would of been better if the packaging was the closer to size of the toy to minimize space requirements. There are not any instructions on use. The only writing is the previously mentioned list of features.

Personal comments

This isn't a bad toy so much as there are just better designs out there. I think a lot of this toys success or failure will ride on how much it cost. To give you some idea of this toy relative to some other similar toys I own here is a picture of them in a line:
