UR3 raging butt plug - butt plug discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by KrissyNovacaine

This is an anal plug. Plugs are designed to be inserted into the body and left. It has a long base which means that it is safe to use alone anally. It's size is appropriate for beginners to intermediate users because the material has a lot of squish.

There are a few design flaws that make this plug a little difficult to use, but overall it is a great purchase for those that are exploring anal play. It was almost too small for me as my 3rd plug I have purchased, so I imagine that this would only be useful for experienced users as a warm up toy.

I like this toy, but I don't think it is a good 1st plug for anyone because the material flexes a lot and can be a pain to insert and remove. If this had been my first anal plug, I probably wouldn't be going back to it.

It can be used vaginally, but the material is very porous, so if that is something you would like to explore, it is recommended that a condom is used between partners and between orifices.

This plug is made from Ultra Realistic 3.0 which is a mix of thermoplastic elastomer and silicone. UR3 is a pretty high maintenance material, which I will cover in depth in another section, and it is only a 1 on the EF safety scale.

The plus sides of UR3 though is that it feels amazing. It is smooth yet slightly velvety and very realistic feeling. It is a very soft and pliable material. I personally like that about it because I can order a larger item in UR3 to be able to work up to the same size in firmer materials. UR3, or Supersoft as it is called in the product information (it is the same thing), is a very pliable material. It compresses very well which can be a perk if it is understood that it reacts like that. I always size up my UR3 materials because it is like this.

I can easily use a plug that is 1.25" in diameter in silicone. This plug was just as easy for me even tho I have been working slowly on 1.5" diameter plugs because of the material.

The texture is more pronounced than many real penises because the material flexes so much. It has ridges that are all along the shaft. They are very raised when you look at it, but with a slight amount of pressure in the hand, they basically disappear. When I was inserting this, I couldn't feel the texture at all.

This plug is realistically shaped and colored. It is blatantly a little penis. This is one of my least discreet toys. It is small and lightweight which is a boon for travel, but if you don't want others to know you are traveling with a phallic object, this isn't a great choice.

I purchased the 4.5" plug. Both options have the same diameter, but they come in two different lengths. This one is about 3.75" insertable length with a 1.5" diameter which translates to a 4.5" circumference. This plug was almost too small for me because the material compressed so much inside of me. I wanted to use this as a way to work up to larger toys, but I don't think it will be able to really do that. It is, however, a great toy when I don't feel like challenging myself.

This toy works well, but not perfectly. It is too flexible. When trying to insert it, I had to battle how floppy it was. Also, it bunches up at my anus and becomes very blunt. When trying to remove it, the material flexes a lot also. I had to be patient with it squishing and slipping out of my hand when I was done with it. It's absolutely usable, but it would be a lot better if it had a firm inner core.

I hated this plug when I was trying to get it in, and I hated it while I was trying to get it out. While it was in me... I loved it. It was filling without being a challenge to me, but it also flexed with me as I moved around. I have a chronic pain condition that makes me very sensitive to... well everything, and this material didn't bump or make anything uncomfortable.

In the past, because of my condition, it hurts to use a plug and have sex in any position except with me on top. For the first time, I was able to enjoy my partner in missionary while I was wearing a plug. I also struggle with bases for plugs. I am quite endowed in the rear and circular bases don't work for me because they sit above my cheeks and pull the plug out. Firmer rectangular bases will sit between my cheeks, but get uncomfortable quickly. This toy's base is large enough that I don't have to worry about it being sucked inside, but was also very comfortable for wear. I haven't tried it yet, but I even think I could wear this for hours without it irritating me.

Oh dear, this is where this plug gets difficult. UR3 AKA Supersoft is a high maintenance little thing. It is highly porous, so it will absorb odors if it isn't thoroughly cleaned. It needs to be dusted with cornstarch after washing so it doesn't get sticky. Because it is porous, it will also absorb bacteria so if you plan on sharing this between partners or orifices use a condom. Actually, using a condom with this in general will help preserve your toy.

It can only be used with water based lubricants because silicone or oil can break down the material.

UR3 toys have to be stored in a cool dark place because they can melt and break down in heat and light. They also will absorb dyes and odors from other toys, so storage in a ziplock back is highly recommended. The toy does attract hair and lint fairly easily, so I always wipe it down with a baby wipe before use.

Cleaning this toy is done with warm water and a mild soap or toy cleaner.

I would be very careful with your UR3 toys because they can be very fragile in general.

This was packaged in a small clam shell that popped open easily as every Doc Johnson toy I have purchased. It listed the name of the toy and how to maintain it which I think is important for a toy like this. You can save the packaging for storage and it won't take up a ton of room, but I chose to trash it and use a ziplock bag.

I think that this would be a fantastic as a second or third plug for people exploring anal toys. It's large enough to be satisfying but flexible enough to not be challenging.

OOOOOH I love this. When I am using it, otherwise, it's so much work.

Getting it in is hard, and really only works for me with help from a partner. I have to communicate well about pacing with insertion because of how blunt the head gets when pressure is put on it, otherwise it can hurt. Insertion is possible though with patience, a good lube, and a little help.

Other may have an easier time inserting this on their own. I am a plus size girl that is very flexible, but getting around my boobs is difficult.

This toy is so comfortable for wear. It flexed with me as I moved around and didn't hurt or get uncomfortable no matter what position I was in.
