This Tulip Needs New Roots
The Tulip plug has a unique shape, provides a satisfying feeling of fullness, is easy to insert, and is made of body safe materials. So far, the recipe for a great plug, unfortunately the base design ruined it for me. The base is hourglass shaped which creates four uncomfortable pressure points, which bothered me even during short-term wear. To make matters worse the base is also hard rigid and has a lip to it all adding to the problem. Recommend only if you can handle the base design.Published: February 16, 2010
Pros:
Unique design; filling; body safe materials.
Cons:
Highly uncomfortable hourglass base design.

Tulip Plug base question
-
Ok here the situation. I reviewed the Tantus Tulip, which I purchased via Tantus direct, and as I said in my review, the base had a lip to it and I included a screenshot of it in my review. Looking at the screenshots that Eden has for the product I can see the same lip I refer to in those screen shots. However, another review pointed out that her Tulip doesn’t have the lip opening the possibility that made the model was modified at some point (I’m assuming it not a manufacturing error as the product screens have the lip too).
Can anyone shed some light on this? -

Mine doesn't have a lip on the base, in fact it's almost the opposite case; where the lip is on yours mine narrows slightly at an angle. To be honest it doesn't look as though it was moulded quite that way, so they may have decided to trim down the material from that area after the product was formed.

Thank you for viewing Tulip plug – butt plug review page!

Great review. I agree, those points do not look pleasant! I have the little flirt, and a combination of thinner base and more rounded points make it much more comfortable. Maybe they should re-work the base on this one to make it more comfortable.

(oops, sorry for the double post!)
Great review namelesschaos!
Very nice review!
Good review!
As I said on your blog, my Tulip doesn't have that lip, and I have no problem wearing mine for long periods of time. I wonder why that is.
Thanks for the comment guys.
@ Britni Interesting if you look at the screen-shot here at Eden's I can see the same lip in those screen shoot that I see on the one I have (which is why i don't think it is a manufacturing error)..hmm it is possible that Tantus modified the model after an initial first run which would explain why both mine and the one used for the screen-shot have the lip while your doesn't. Looks like i have another question to ask Tantus on Eden link.
I love your review! Very to the point, and so funny! XD
Great review - I can see why those points would be aggravating! I still like the shape of the plug itself though.
I can see where the points might get uncomfortable... Great review though!
I too have concerns about the points getting uncomfortable, but the overall shape of this toy is so nice. Darn.
Thanks for the review!
Great Review. Thanks for sharing!
Great review. I have one too, but I've never experienced any discomfort from the base, so it's interesting to hear what works for different people.
nice review
