Versatile and stays in place!
This is a good product for someone interested in experimenting with anal play. If you're unsure, $10 isn't a bad investment for something that will do the job. Once you figure out if you enjoy anal stimulation, you will probably want to look for things that are more suited to your specific taste.Published: October 15, 2010
Pros:
Washes easily, stays put for the most part.
Cons:
Slips out right before orgasm, discolors after prolonged use regardless of cleaning.
I'd like to start out by saying I'm female and I use this product during conventional vaginal intercourse. My husband also enjoys using it while getting head, but prefers not to use it on himself during sex.
As always, I used this product in conjunction with my Jo H2O water-based lubricant. The type of lube isn't as crucial with this plug since you just need to get it in once and there isn't a friction issue after that. Once you get it in, it stays put pretty well. It's easily washable, though it does develop slight discoloration after owning it for awhile. A discolored plug is a bit of a turn-off, regardless of the knowledge that it is clean.
This is great for both partners because it not only provides anal stimulation for the female, but also creates a tighter fit for her partner. That aspect in itself is mutually pleasurable, and the wide base on this plug ensures that both partners will have no problems feeling it.
If you're feeling really trusting, you can get in the reverse cowgirl position and have your partner insert it himself. We've found that the visual aspect of that for my husband and the lack of control it gave me was quite arousing. It also gave me a submissive edge to an otherwise dominant position.
My only issue with it is that it always slips out right before orgasm, but I attribute that to the intensity of the muscle contractions near the end of sex. I'm hoping to find a plug that can withstand the muscle tightening because having the plug in place during orgasm is great. Holding it there to ensure that it doesn't slip out kind of takes away from the experience.
All in all, it's not a bad product. It does what it's supposed to, but doesn't really offer much in the diversity of stimulation department like some of the other differently-shaped plugs. Worth the ten bucks to have it in your collection though.

Curious about Rubber, is it a safe material, does it hold odors etc etc.

it comes with its own odor, its porous so I personally would never use it for anal, it also just doesn't feel that great.

Thank you for viewing Classic butt plug review page!

Excellent narrative parts of this review! Regarding size...who would you recommend it for?
I'd definitely recommend using a condom over this if sharing between partners. I guess with the price it might even be more worth while to just buy two..one for him and one for you
@~LaUr3n~ : We were both beginners, and it worked fine for both of us. Definitely something you ease into, but a good lube is your best friend.
@Alicia: That is good advice, thank you. We just haven't run into the situation where we both use it during the same session, so it's always washed between uses.
Nice review.
My hats off to you for taking a plug this big, being beginners and all, it took me a while before I could take something that is 1 3/4" in diameter. As far as finding a plug that will stay in you might try the Ryder. It is made from Silicone and you will have no worry's about sanitizing it.
Great review! You're right--this is a good intro to anal play, especially for the price. But like Dwtim said, it may be a little too big for some beginners. Keep up the good work
Very nice review!
I echo Lauren that there are really good parts of this review. As you continue to review toys, you may want to learn the materials and what works with them, their porosity etc. I think Alicia recommended a condom, not only if you share it in the same session, but as rubber, what this toy is made of, is a porous material, and bacteria can linger on or in it, even with washing. Dwtim recommended that silicone doesn't have this problem (although you would never share in the same session) as it is completely non-porous. It is also less likely to discolor, as it doesn't absorb things. We have some great silicone toys and plugs and you may enjoy these as well.
Good review. I'm glad you are enjoying this toy!
You may want to look into the Mentor program for writing great reviews, and of course, participating in the forums and reading the information about safety of materials, what lubes are appropriate (you wouldn't want to use an oil based lube with a rubber toy) as well as the forums being a LOT of fun.
Hope to see you around.
@Dwtim: Thanks for the tip! And I've definitely heard a wide array of opinions on the diameter being fine for beginners or being too big. I guess it's got a lot to do with the diversity of body types.
@P'Gell: Yes, and after reading some of the main reviews for other items, I realized that what I thought was a satisfactory review was actually quite lacking. I have already requested an available mentor and am currently awaiting a response. The info on the porous/non-porous material was also helpful, and I will indeed be doing more research on that. Thanks!

Good grief, how do I delete a duplicate comment?
Not bad for ten bucks. Nice review.
Thanks for the review..some insight on the material is always helpful, and since this one is rubber, it's porous, so sharing wouldn't be recommended. Good writing !
Yeah, I've been doing a little more research on materials since I threw these reviews together. Next time I review a rubber product I will be more careful when mentioning the fact that it can be used by males or females.
