Sportscuffs and Tether kit by Sportsheets - review by married with children

These are used to aid you in bondage play. I picked these up to add length to our "under the bed restraint system". This fastens around anything from bedposts to chair legs. They work great when you add another pair of cuffs, one for your bedposts and one for her limbs. These are best used for light bondage.

These are made from nylon, neoprene, and velcro. The craftsmanship is pretty high. I expect these to last me a few years. The nylon tethers are sturdy, with no loose threads. The plastic used on the length adjustment looks and feels like the plastic used on my body harness at work. I do not see them breaking with any strain they would experience with your bondage play. The metal sliding clasps are heavy in weight. Not heavy duty, just heavy. I would label them as a medium duty clasp. All the metal on these are chrome plated. I could not find any flaws in the plating.

The cuffs leave some to be desired. Its not so much that they are of poor quality. They are of a slightly lower quality then the sport cuffs you purchase ala cart. Not by much, but you can feel it when you hold them side by side. The cuffs I received, differed then the ones pictured on the product page. Mine do not have a big advertisement label with the words "Sportsheets, let your body be held captive and set your fantasies free." Mine juse has a small 1/4 inch by 1 inch label with "Sportsheets". Not that it makes it any more or less descreet, but I thought I would mention the change. The cuffs are adjustable in size with Velcro.

The set preforms well. Like stated above, I purchased these to extend my "Under the bed restraint system". We have a king size bed with a extra thick mattress. So that system did not work as well as designed to on your bed. I needed a way to add on to the tethers at each corner of our bed and extend them to my wife's ankles and wrists. These worked well. The tethers quickly snapped onto the ones under the mattress, and extended to my wife's limbs. When the night was over, a quick unsnap of the clasp and they were off of the bed and in the drawer. Super easy to use and then hid.

These also work if you have extra cuffs. You could use a cuff to attach to a portion of your bed, (post, slat, ect..) and a cuff to attach your partner; and your in business.

Because these are made of soft materials, they do not mark up your furniture or your partner. There is nothing worse then having to explain the marks on your wrists to co workers or family members. This set will not leave you in that situation.

Now, I will start off by stating that ours do not get so dirty that we have to wash them. After all, they are not close to the action. Now they will get some lube and other fluids on them, just from touching them during play or when picking up after the action. That is about the extent of the dirt ours have seen. I have wiped them down with a wipe or damp cloth, and they have come clean every time. I suppose if you needed to give them a deep cleaning, you could clean them in the sink. After all, this material is used in pool toys and life jackets; so I know that the water wont hurt them too much. I would just be careful about leaving them some where soaking wet. Be sure to dry them after the cleaning.

I hang ours up in the closet when not in use. I have also just thrown them in the drawer and forgotten about them for weeks at a time. It has never been a problem. They are pretty easy to store. They might tangle up some, but they are pretty easy to straighten out.

These come in a simple clear plastic clam shell case. There is a cardboard insert. It shows a lady in a bra and panties, tied up with the sportcuffs and tethers, with a man holding her from behind. The back of the insert gives a little information about the product, and has a picture of the cuffs and tethers. This package is not discreet with the insert, but take it out and you can leave this sitting around the house.

I just wish these came with more then just the one pair of cuffs. They kind of warrant a second pair, based on the design. But I am sure that if you are looking at getting this set, you already have a pair or two of cuffs laying around the house that did not work for you. You might find a second life form them with this set.
