The door kit works best (gasp) on a door; preferably a sturdy one if you aim to pick your pet up and use the straps and door for support. That being said, the straps will fit to a full-size bed but it's a tight fit. It'll work well for anyone new to bondage, but it's not as easy as handcuffs. My partner was able to work loose on accident the first time I tied her up. A more efficient knot held her the second time and I was able to get on to business.

The door straps are well-made and sturdy. I've heard other people complain about a strong smell emanating from the straps, but if there is I haven't noticed it. The sashes are pleasing to the touch and are free of any errors in workmanship that would make them tatter. The sashes fit nicely, as does the blindfold, and the blindfold is long enough to serve as an impromptu hand binding if you like. People of about any size will find no issue with making the straps work for them since the hooks are plentiful on the straps, allowing for endless variety in your play. My only complaint about these alternative setups is that the straps are designed for the door, so they're not terribly comfortable to lie on, but not enough to really distract from the experience.

The straps hold extremely well, as I mentioned, despite my partner's attempts to free herself once properly bound. I expected a door kit for light bondage play and got exactly what I asked for. What I didn't anticipate were the other uses of the straps. They're long enough to strap comfortably to couches, chairs, futons and beds; allowing for an immense amount of variety in your play.

The product really doesn't demand any maintenance, except perhaps to wash the sashes on delicate and hang dry every now and then. Storage isn't an issue. Without the sashes the straps are innocuous looking. If you don't want to leave them up, however, the box it comes in is sturdy and has plenty of room to slip the kit back in.

The packaging is what you'd expect from Sex and Mischief. Aesthetically pleasing but giving no question as to the product within or the intended use. It's not a box you'd want to leave out. Although the basic instructions needed to set up the straps were on the box.

The sashes and blindfold hold well and are sensuous to the touch, making the thought of being tied up and left at the mercy of your partner very alluring. While upright, the door kit didn't provide much opportunity for penetrative intercourse, but the teasing options were endless.
