Use

This mask is intended to be used as a blindfold. It works well, and it's so comfortable! The elastic band seems like it would fit a lot of different head sizes. My head is fairly small, and the blindfold didn't slip during use at all. Some reviewers have used this blindfold as a sleep mask. It's so plush and comfortable that I can definitely imagine putting it to that use. Using it during sex play adds a level of thrill; I didn't know what my lover was going to do next, and I had to focus on the sensations more since I lacked sight. This blindfold can be used for BDSM or just some sexy thrills to spice up your vanilla sex life.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

The design looks exactly like what is pictured on the product page. The mask part is contoured to fit comfortably and inhibit vision completely. The mask is 8" wide. The material for the mask part is plush and kind of furry. It's very soft, not itchy at all. It's 100% polyester. It has a faint "new clothes" smell that will probably fade with use, but it smells nice.

The elastic band is 12" long. It fit my 23" head quite snugly, but it's also comfortable on a larger head. A friend whose head measures 25" tried it on, and it fit fine without being too tight. The part where the elastic band meets the mask looks kind of cheap. It's just tacked on, and there's a flap of elastic after the stitching. But it seems quite sturdy, and the flap and stitching don't show when the mask is on.

Performance

This blindfold looks sexy when worn. My lover said he enjoyed how helpless I looked wearing it. I enjoyed how helpless I felt wearing it. While I could see just a little bit below the mask if I opened my eyes, the mask fit so snugly that it was uncomfortable to open my eyes while wearing it. It was easy to put on, and it stayed on during use. There was no chafing or discomfort at all, even after an hour. As I've mentioned before, this sexy blindfold is plushy and soft enough to double up as a sleep mask!

I bought this blindfold for some sensation play. It's amazing how much more you can feel when you can't focus on sight. It was really fun not knowing what my lover was going to do next. His every move was a surprise and that made it that much more enjoyable.

Care and Maintenance

This product really doesn't require any special maintenance. If it gets dirty, you can throw it in the washer and dryer, although it will pick up a lot of lint. The plushy mask part is a lint magnet. You could also spot clean or wash by hand, if you don't want to put it through the wear and tear of a wash cycle. It can be stored just about anywhere: in a chest with your sex toys, in your underwear drawer, even out in the open on your nightstand, since it looks like a sleep mask.

Packaging

Usually I try to include a picture of the original packaging, but I got this toy a while ago, and the box was too bulky to use for storage. I remember ordering this at the same time as a pair of handcuffs, and this came in a much bigger box than the handcuffs. It was a white cardboard box with a picture of a couple using the mask. Not discreet, so wrap if gifting. The mask itself was wrapped in plastic inside the box. This seems like a bit much packaging for a blindfold, but it does look nice enough to gift.

Personal comments

As you can see from the similar products I posted at the end of the review, this blindfold is exceptionally cheap. The quality does not match the price; this blindfold is well-made and does its job well. I was deterred from buying a leather blindfold because of the price, but I'm glad I chose this one instead. It's great for light BDSM play. Those who are into heavier play probably won't be looking at blindfolds anyways - they'll want a hood or something similar - and I don't see any reason to go for a blindfold that is more expensive and less comfortable when this one does the job excellently. My lover knows how much I enjoy this, and he whips it out almost every time we play. I use the blindfold on myself sometimes during solo play, simply because not having the distraction of sight makes me feel pleasure much more intensely. Having a blindfold on adds a thrill that I don't get if I just close my eyes, and I love it!
