Finally!

After years of waiting to try this product out, I was definitely not disappointed. Dozens of pros outweigh the cons, and it has become my favorite gag thus far. Comfortable, safe, and cute. What more could a girl ask for?

Use

I have been eyeballing this gag for over two years now. I have tried out various other gags and muffling methods in that time, but after finally receiving this gag I am in love. Because of the shape of this gag, and how the entire bulb fits in the mouth, allowing the lips and teeth to rest against the base, it leaves the jaw less open than traditional gags. This may be more comfortable for beginners or people with sensitive jaws. Because of this base it is also safe for use without the straps entirely.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

This gag comes in several different color choices. I have always loved the white/pink combo the best, especially since it brings a sort of sweet innocence to something that is generally thought of as anything but. The silicone bulb is completely odorless, tasteless, and comfortable. It is just the right combination of softness and firmness, and very capable of withstanding being repeatedly bitten into without even a mark.

The leather strap does not seem to be as high of quality as the gag itself and is a bit narrow. There is a good deal of Velcro along the strap, but just not enough for my little head as it ended up being a bit loose. However, because of the base on this gag it is not only safe but also comfortable for use without the strap at all.

Performance

This product went above and beyond my expectations. It is by far the most comfortable, attractive, and easily maintained gag I have ever owned. It kept my screams muffled (which is definitely a task in itself), without irritating my sensitive jaw, and kept me looking hot in the process. The base allows it to be safe for use without the straps so beginners can ease into gags with something that they can spit out at will. It would also be perfect for age play as a pacifier when used without the straps, especially in either this color or in the pink variation.

Care and Maintenance

As the front of the packaging boasts, the Tantus Beginner Ball Gag is made of 100% ultra-premium platinum silicone, which is hygienic, hypoallergenic, and phthalate free. It is also odorless, tasteless, bleachable, boilable, and dishwasher safe. The leather strap can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.

Packaging

There is nothing really special about the packaging on this gag. It comes in a clear plastic box that is printed with information about the quality and care of the product but no instructions or other material.

Experience

Because of the fact that I am a small lady, the length of the straps left this gag a bit loose on my head. My partner surprised me however, by gripping the strap behind my head. This not only brought the straps taught onto my head, but also brought the gag deeper into my mouth; thus making my screams even more muffled, and everything that was going on even hotter. It was not only a nice deviation from the ole hair grab, but also a good solution to the strap issue.

Epiphora, no, it did not hit the back of my throat during routine use. The only time that it reached that far would be when my partner was pulling on the straps and even then I did not find it uncomfortable. But everyone's body is built differently so I'm sure some people may have this problem with it.

And thank you O Lolita. (^_^) I must say, I really am enjoying this gag thoroughly and I definitely recommend it. Especially for a beginner.

My budget has always been a problem for me as well. What pushed me over the edge was my partner handing me a twenty dollar bill and asking if I could cover the rest. Well of course I could!! (^_^) And trust me, it is definitely worth the price.

  • Smaller Ball Gag
    • I love the shape of this gag, and I love that it's from Tantus, but I have a really small mouth so I can't really do anything with it in because I have to concentrate on my breathing (or else I start coughing - not good!).

      Am I the only one that would purchase a shorter/slimmer version, if one became available?
    • This is a pretty slim gag already, actually. It's one of the slimmer ones available. Most gags are usually 2" and up, and this one has a diameter of an inch and a half. Sometimes you can find gags with 1" balls, but it's usually a rare occurance. I do love this gag though; it's worked well for us.

      Yeah, I know it's small - my mouth is just smaller, as even my orthodontist liked to remind me! (LOL) I thought that perhaps it would work for me because it's slimmer than normal and wouldn't make my jaw hurt. My jaw was fine with it, but I just ended up choking instead. :(
