Use

This item is a flogger, which is used in impact play. It can be used for the threat of impact play as well. It could easily be used by men or women, and on men or women. The color scheme of solid black lends itself well to matching all sort of lingerie or BDSM attire.

You could use this flogger on many body parts, but start with minimal impact and work up, being careful on sensitive tissues. As it would cover quite a bit of area, larger areas like the rear end and back of the legs are a nice choice. Beginners and advanced users will both enjoy this toy, as you can tailor the flogging to the user, making it a gentle or rough session as your play dictates. You get a very satisfying thud with this flogger, with a bit of sting.

Dragging the falls of this flogger along someone's skin would also provide a bit of teasing sensation, which could be followed up with a whack.

Design / Craftsmanship / Size / Material / Features

The Calf Leather Flogger is made of just that, calf leather. Starting with a loop for a handle, there is wrapped section before the long falls begin, but most of the 28" length of this flogger is taken up by the falls themselves. It has 36 individual falls, each ending with a stright cut. They measure 1/4" in width, and are 22" long.

It has a sturdy, well made feel to it, and even after putting it through the paces, it has held up well. Tugging firmly on the falls and wrapped area doesn't dislodge anything. It seems built to last. It has a wonderful "new leather" smell, which hasn't faded yet.

The loop is firm and stiff, and when looped around your wrist, provides an excellent way to keep your flogger at the ready, but still allowing you to use your hands as you need them. The construction of the loop is a round braided pattern, with an almost herringbone appearance. It's smooth and comfortable against your wrist, with no pinching, and it sized to work with a very large range of users.

Performance

Strong but light, wielding this flogger is easy yet the outcome is satisfying. You need to have the room to use it, so tight space may make this flogger tricky to apply. It makes a very thuddy, slightly slappy sound when used, with a sting that can range from light to mid-range, depending on the strength of the swing. As always, use caution on sensitive tissues and work up to heavier use.

Although it certainly creates some red marks, they didn't stick around. The falls are narrow, which gives them the tendency to tangle a bit, but this hasn't created any issues with use.

The visual of this toy is very nice. Paired with a black leather outfit, or a dark colored corset, this will complete the outfit well.
Follow-up commentary
This is still the flogger I find myself reaching for. It has held up well and delivers consistently. No issues whatsoever.

That seems to be a nice flogger for the price, especially since it's made of calf leather. Thank you for the wonderful review.

Definitely a reasonable price for a beginner flogger. Great review! I'm wondering a few things though -

How exactly did you throw this particular piece? Did you wrap the handle around your fingers and use it as a finger flogger, or did you do something else with it?

I know nothing about floggers, but even I found the review helpful and informative, thanks!

You could grab one side of the loop and throw that way, or put your whole hands through the loop, grab the area at the top and the leftover look and throw that way, which is what I did. I don't think it would work well as a finger flogger, the look is pretty large and it wouldn't be comfortable. to grab that way!

    Oh...and thanks all for reading!

I understand entirely, I was just curious. A very strange flogger, indeed, I'm glad you could get some use out of it.

I guess you could grab the whole loop like a handle too, if that worked for you. For some reason two or my intended "loop"s became "look" in the above post...which made it kind of odd to read....but you get the gist.
