Oh, these cuffs are amazing. They are made by ASLAN Leather. This is my first purchase from their company, but I will certainly be making purchases from them in the future. They came shipped flat, which is a nice change of pace from so many that come folded, and take what seems like ages to get the folds out of the leather. They are made of beautiful, supple, high-grade, white leather. They have that beautiful smell of leather, and even now, more than two weeks after I ordered them, they still have a very strong, leather smell to them. There is an indescribable difference between these and cheap leather cuffs. Are they expensive? Yes, but are they worth it, and would I pay it again? Absolutely, YES!

These cuffs are a total of 15 inches long when you include the strap that extends off the end. However, the leather cuff itself is 10 1/2 inches in length. They are nice and wide at 2 3/4 inches. They will fit wrists or ankles as large as 9 inches or as small as 5 inches. They provide a wonderful amount of strength and are near impossible to break free of once they are locked. The buckle portion has a small ring in which you can place a lock so the buckles cannot be undone. Each cuff features two heavy D rings for strapping the cuffs to.

The leather is very soft against the skin, and I can wear them for hours without my skin getting too sweaty. As far as breaking them in, they are a little stiff when you first get them, and you should break them in to your size wrist or ankle, depending on for what purpose you are using them. The easiest way to do this is to see which notch you are going to use when you are wearing them, and simply close the cuff to that notch on your wrist or ankle, and leave it like that to break it in a little. Otherwise, you can do what I did and wear them around the house for a day after you get them. I fell in lust with these cuffs and did not ever want to take them off. They were so comfortable.

They come with a tag which provides a few tips for care. With a moist cloth and a little soap (dish soap or leather cleaner), wipe the area to be cleaned. Wipe off the excess soap using a moist cloth. Pat dry immediately, making sure to get all moisture out of the folds and creases. Store your leather in a cool dry place away from direct heat and light. You can protect the metal parts of the cuffs from tarnish by aplying a coat of clear nail polish. Condition the leather with leather conditioner at the first signs of dryness. When leather starts to dry out, treat it immediately. Do not let it get ahead of you. It is like rust - once it starts, it spreads, and it is easiest remedied by prevention and immediate treatment when it does start. They come with a lifetime guarntee from ASLAN. These are wonderful to use. We locked them to some O rings on the walls, and no matter how much I struggled against them, they stayed tight. Happily, no matter how much I struggled, they also did not get painfully uncomfortable or sweaty.
