Wrist restraints locking - restraints discontinued by Spartacus - review by Red Vinyl Kitty

As a girl with small wrists, I am constantly frustrated when I buy wrist restraints only to find out that they won't fit me. My wrists measure 5.75" in circumference, and I often find that most cuffs seem to fit at 7" or so. That means we usually have to poke holes in our cuffs to get them to work right, or designate them to ankle cuffs. Not anymore!

These arrived in very simple packaging. They were laid flat and packed in a simple plastic bag. You won't want to keep the bag for storage, it really is just to protect them for shipping. I took them out of the package, and was very impressed with how formidable these cuffs looked. They are very, very heavy duty and made very well, especially considering the small price tag.

When I say that these are stiff when they arrive, I mean it. I tried to put them on first thing because I was so eager, but I could not get them on myself for anything. In fact, Master had to struggle a bit to get them on me once he got home. Once we got them on though, they were very comfortable. It took five or six uses before they started to break in and mold to the shape of my wrists. They are still very stiff though, and somewhat difficult to get on. I suspect that with time these will only get easier to put on and wear. Because of the stiffness of the cuffs, if you're a solo bondage player, I don't recommend these for you. They're nearly impossible to get on, on your own, especially until you break them in.
The cuffs measure 2" wide, and will fit from 5" to 9" wrists. They have two rows of gromits for a total of ten around the hardware to keep it in place. The hardware itself consists of a .5" D-ring, and a 1.5" O ring. The O ring is very large, and I love it. It makes me think of my pony tack, which also has very large hardware on it so it can bounce and make noises as I do my pony steps. I think that these would work wonderfully for that purpose as well.

These are very sturdy, and I find that I can wear them to bed just as easily as I can wear them long-term going about my daily duties or in a BDSM scene. They hold me in place without fear of me slipping out of them, and they can even be locked (which is just another wonderful bonus).
I don't recommend sharing these in cases in which fluid exchange may be involved with people you are not already fluid bonded with. Leather is porous, and it'll never come 100% clean. You should never, ever use water on your cuffs. Instead, should these get dirty you could use a bit of leather cleaner on them.

For storing these, we just keep them in a bin designated for leather gear. You could just toss these into a toy box, or bag with ease. These don't take up very much room.

These are wonderful cuffs! To be honest, though it's been a couple of months since my review, these are STILL very very stiff, and are probably not going to "break in" any day soon.

They are sturdy, built to last, and a wonderful addition to anyone's toy box.
