The Kitty blindfold is great to use for teasing, pleasing, and sensory deprivation (of sight, that is). It's a good blindfold for people new to using them as well as those that are more experienced, as its design is both cute and not intimidating—it's also very well-made. The blindfold is an easy-on, easy-off design, as the elastic band is thin and easy to pull off of the wearer's head.

My favorite things to do with blindfolds are to, after the person who I am playing with has put it on, cuff their wrists behind their back and have fun with them being immobilized. I'll either use one of my riding crops or floggers on them, lightly stroking their back and bottom with it then giving a hard smack, or I'll use something a bit softer, like a feather or chain tickler. With blindfolds, the possibilities are literally endless.

Ruff Doggy Styles' Kitty Blindfold is an adorable leather blindfold that is just oh-so-feminine and oh-so-cute. It's an easy to use, easy to wear blindfold that looks great on the wearer and is really pleasing to the one not wearing it. The blindfold is complete with a thin elastic band that stretches a good amount and should fit many different sized heads. In a very whimsical, dreamy sort of way, the Kitty blindfold has very large eye pieces and an upward curve at the temples, leaving this beautiful, kitten's eye look. It does look a bit like a superhero blindfold, but I find it to be more cute and feminine, a very adorable look, with the light pinks and blacks.

Upon examining the blindfold, you can see that it has a few layers of leather, of different grains, sewn together. The pink layer at the bottom was a surprise to me, because it is not the flat color shown in its pictures; it's more of a metallic pink, which is not too flashy, making it really attractive. Both that layer and the next one up are of a smooth leather. They're very nicely finished, too. On top of that is the suede, pink eye shape, sewn to the black layer underneath it. The actual cat's eye is a smooth leather, very thin, that is part sewn on and part glued. (I personally would have preferred it to have all been sewn, but I understand why they did that—they wanted to give the illusion of it actually being eyes.)

The backing of the blindfold, or the part that will sit against the face, is suede, which does not make it the most comfortable of blindfolds. In use, however, the suede does not scratch or itch whatsoever, which thoroughly surprised me. This does, however, mean that it needs to be taken good care of.

In full, though, the Kitty Blindfold is very well made, and the elastic band is tightly sewn in there—all of the leather is also sewn very neatly, making it a long-lasting blindfold.

I am very sad to say this, but the blindfold, in use, is not the best that there is. It does not block out all light, and if the wearer is to tilt their head up, they will see everything that you are planning for them. It also gets a bit uncomfortable because of the design—the ridge for the nose tends to dig in, and the part that sits against the brow does the same. When it's on, the cheek part tends to sit away from the face and the brow part digs in much too much. I am not sure if this is because of head size or shape.

There is one way—which I find it to be worth it since the blindfold is so adorable—to fix this: get a softer, silk blindfold and just wear it underneath. You can also use a makeshift scarf to wear underneath, just to keep it from getting aggravating or bothersome.

If you wear makeup, there is another thing that I recommend: since the backing is suede, take off your makeup before wearing this. Suede is pretty hard to clean, and makeup is especially hard to get off of it.

Since the blindfold is made of multiple types of leather, you need to take care of the different parts in different ways. For the smooth leather, you can wipe it down with a damn cloth that has a bit of soap on it, not much, to get it clean. The suede pieces, however, must be only cleaned with a suede cleaner and they must be used carefully to make sure that they do not get dirty.

I personally store my Kitty Blindfold in a drawer with my other blindfolds and handcuffs, but you can put it anywhere where it will be out of direct light, like in a closet or under a bed.

I did forget to say one thing—the leather? Yeah, it smells good. Really good.

Also, another thing, the leather is really firm. This may be why it has some of the cons that it does, because in comparison to the other leather blindfolds that I own, it's extremely firmer.

The reason why I rated the Kitty Blindfold what I did is because it would not be fair to rate it higher if it does not do what it's meant to do, which is deprive the wearer of their sense of sight. I would rate it higher, in fact, I'd rate it a full five stars, just based on the quality of the leather and the beautiful design. But since it is also uncomfortable, I did not. Even though I rated it what I did, I do recommend it to be bought because it is very lovely. If you are willing to pay a little extra for another blindfold to wear underneath, then I definitely say do that.
