The perfect solution to a chatty spouse!

Pros:
Soft and comfortable material. Adjustable strap.

The rubber smell, Taste's pretty bad to start, semi-hard to clean.
Spartacus makes a great product using real leather. The ball on this gag is a rubber that is quite pliable so it's not hard on the dental work. Although the ball does have a bit of a bad taste when you first get it, it does wear off. The rubber smell however, is seemingly permanent.
I did have some issue's with adjusting the strap, as if it was too loose, the ball would not sit properly. But if it was too tight, the leather strap bit into the sides of my mouth and caused some discomfort, left some interesting to explain imprints, and once even caused the skin on the sides of my mouth to rip open slightly. I think that it was more a problem with the width of the band then the adjustment though.
The color's are bright and vibrant and look great in photo's and even to co-ordinate with an outfit.
The ball is somewhat large for someone that is starting off or has a small mouth, but Spartacus does make other sized balls gags. As well, the strap is riveted so the ball does not come off, which makes clean up somewhat more of a pain, (and not the good kind). Rather then just being able to take the ball off and throw it in the dishwasher, you have to manually wipe it down. I personally use a vinegar and water solution, as anything that goes in your mouth should be cleaned with something that is not a harsh chemical, or that will make you sick.
Swallowing is a challenge with this mouth gag in, but then again, it's hard with any gag. As well, with the fact there is something in your mouth, I've heard some people have an issue with excessive salivation, but in the heat of the moment, not many people REALLY care if your drooling over them.

Experience
A pretty good product for the price, although the smell of it is somewhat a deterrent. Definitely good for hushing up someone that gets too chatty, but for some very vocal individuals (like myself) you can still make quite a bit of noise through one of these.

I've only been able to get my hands on a few different styles of clamps, but so far haven't found anything that i really love...
Clover-style clamps usually are not tight enough (without tugging on them) to stay on over the piercings, and adjustable clamps are usually not designed in a way that can grip on around a barbell and stay on without causing bad-pain.

Did the ball sit against your teeth or was it more between them so you have to bite down on the ball?
There is a forum thread right now about ball gags. About the type of sounds that can be made, comfort etc.

I wear mine between the teeth/more IN my mouth then some people seem too, just because of some expensive dental work. Because of this, the ball sits quite snug in between my teeth when i bite down, but there is still a bit of space around the ball to make some noise...

With a bit of space at the edges/corners of the mouth, its still possible to make "UMPH" noises, as well as some people can get a shrill yelp or gurgle out, but words are not possible when the ball is positioned correctly.
