The Boa Pleasure Ties are a pair of restraints from Lelo. They are incredibly beautiful and a great addition to any ones play chest. These restraints can be used by beginner and advanced BDSM users. The soft, beautiful material does a good job at keeping one restrained while also allowing for a bit of comfort. The silk with metal closures create a much less intimidating look than lets say, a pair of metal handcuffs. Please keep in mind the pleasure ties are not meant for suspension play. These restraints can comfortably handle low to medium amounts of stress. This being said I would not use these for heavy play where a lot of stress will be put on the ties.

Lelo offers the Boa Pleasure Ties in three colors. You can choose from red, black, or purple. I chose the purple, since it is my favorite color and just looked like an absolutely beautiful shade of the color. Boy, was I right! When I received my package and immediately ripped it open, I was pleased with the dark, purple I had chosen.

The Pleasure Ties are made from 100 percent, soft, luxurious silk. I always thought that silk was a very fragile material that needed to be handled with some care. These ties have made me rethink that completely. I, along with my partner, was surprised to find that the silk is actually very sturdy. I was pretty shocked by this, to be honest, I was not expecting such high quality. The end of the ties are weighted with freshwater pearls. To keep the pearls at the end, there is stitching 6 inches above the bottom. This ensures that the pearls stay in place and do not make their way to the top of the restraints. On the other end of the ties are two rings. These rings are made of metal and they are nickel coated. The rings have stitching underneath them to make sure they stay in place. This stitching is 2 inches from the top of the tie.

One side of the tie is purple with no pattern on it. The other side is the same shade of purple but has a pattern. It is a pattern of vines and leafs. This pattern is only slightly darker than the deep purple silk. Which makes it semi hard to see unless you have really good lighting. I think the vines look pretty but prefer the deep purple without the pattern.

You receive two ties, each of these have a total length of 42 inches. The ties have a width of 2 inches. This gives you a lot of material to work with. You can use one restraint per arm, or even use one restraint to tie up both of your partners hands.

The Boa Pleasure Ties are extremely functional. Only your imigination will limit how many ways you can use these. They are great for quick sessions since they do not require tieing multiple knots. They are perfect for beginners who want to experience bondage without all the chains and scary metal. They are also great for people who just want an elegant restraint. We really wanted this because we do not have a headboard. I thought this would be our way to easy bondage without all the hassle of finding somewhere to be tied up, or drilling holes into our walls or ceiling to put in rings. The ties work perfectly for just that! The pearls allow for the Boa Pleasure Ties to be slipped through the top of your door and held in place. No fuss or hassel, it is instant bondage!

The Pleasure Ties can be a bit high maintenance in comparison to other restraints. This is because they are made of 100 percent silk. The box says to dry clean these. When the time comes, I will surely be bringing these to the dry cleaners to have them cleaned properly. I do not want to damage them. If you are more courageous than I, you could try cleaning them with a home dry cleaner kit. If you, for any reason, want to clean these by hand or do a spot cleaning which I would not suggest, here are some things you should keep in mind. If you clean these by hand you run the risk of tearing the fabric. You could also make the colors bleed. Try doing a spot test to ensure this wont happen. Make sure to use cold water (35°C maximum). Use a mild soap and allow for the ties to air dry away from the sun.

Your Boa Pleasure Ties are shipped to you in a lovely black box. The top has a picture of the ties with Lelo's name is silver. The sides of the box have a purple line going around the middle and each side says "LELO, Boa Pleasure Ties". The back of the box has a description of the ties. It says "Boa Pleasure Ties : Turn your surroundings into the most sensual backdrop for pleasure. These two silk ties are weighted with a pouch of pearls at one end, while the two metal rings allow you to restrain your partner as tightly as desired." This is in five different languages next to a picture of the ties. Underneath the picture it says that the ties are made of 100% pure silk, freshwater pearls, nickel-coated metal rings. Dry clean only.

After opening the box there is another black box inside. It is jet black with "LELO" written across the center. The ties are held inside this box, wrapped up in white paper.

I would suggest keeping your pleasure ties inside the black box they come with. Some people have said getting your ties back into the box can be a hassle but I haven't really had much trouble. I can see where it would be a pain as the top doesn't want to stay on properly if the ties stick up too much inside the box. To avoid having this problem I simply start folding my ties at the bottom where the pearls are. Make your first fold at the top of the pearls. Continue wrapping the pleasure tie around the pearls until you reach the metal ring. Place your ties in the box with the metal ring on top, this seems to keep some weight on them and holds them down enough to where the box does not pop up. I do this and put pressure on the top of the inner box, as I slide it into the outer box. If you do not want to deal with the hassle of storing these back in their original packaging, I would suggest keeping them in a plastic bag or a toy pouch.

I would say that the packaging is pretty discreet. They are travel friendly as well, even if you do not keep them in the original packaging. The ties themselves are pretty discreet. They do not scream "tie me up now", like metal handcuffs do. At least not to the average eye. I feel these look discreet enough that I would leave them out and not think twice over it. I honestly believe most people would not know what to make of these if they saw them sitting on a table.
