Tex VixSkin - strap-on dildo by Vixen Creations, Inc - review by squire

I found this toy to be wonderful for many types of play, be it putting it in a harness for strap-on sex, manual stimulation, anal, and even vaginal penetration. I chose the title because of its versatility and how often I choose this toy when I play. I got the most use of this toy when engaging in anal play as I am an intermediate player and was looking for something I could use more vigorously. It fit perfectly into a harness and left just enough length (for my body type) to hit the prostate just fine. Some positions might be harder as it's a short fella, but for a worry free experience this fit the bill for me.

Given its smaller girth and length, I think people would really want to give Tex a try when they are looking for increased speed of thrusting without so much worry about hitting the cervix or hurting the anus. The material is top notch Vixskin, part of their duel density line and is similar to that of the Mustang but shorter and slightly thinner; so it can have multiple uses.

As with most VixSkin toys, the Tex is made of high grade silicone that is covered with a luscious coating of their VixSkin. For me, VixSkin toys are amazing because they are super easy to use and clean, but also have such amazing texture and forgiveness in their coating of the super soft silicone. There was the firm core that kept Tex firm and easy for intertion/partner play, but also enough softness/forgiveness in the coating to where I felt like I didn't have to be as careful due to the comfort it provided. It's that experience where it just fit right to where it seemed like it was meant for the purpose I was using it for, and I tend to find that with all VixSkin toys. The texture on this guy is soft and plush VixSkin material that has a slight drag to it when used. There is some VikSkin packed along the shaft, under the ridge of the head, that gives added texture and sensation and the head of this realistic penis is soft and squishy. There is no smell, it's not overly sticky, and my experience is that it isn't as much of a lint trap as some others I own.

In terms of design and shape, the first thing I noticed about the Tex is the slight curve and the compact size. As an owner of the Mustang, the Tex is slightly smaller at 6" long, 1 1/2" in girth (though mine was slightly thinner than this), and is insertable up to 5". I loved the design because 1) I was looking for something thinner and shorter for more vigorous anal play and 2) I still wanted a feeling of fullness. The curve hit my prostate well, as well as my wife's G-spot, and was short enough not to hurt at all when fully inserted. I am not hung up on realistic forms, but I really enjoyed the Tex for his realism. I felt the "pop" one would feel from the head and ridge entering me, and then the smooth shaft to follow.

Again, the versatility of this dildo, in part due to its size and design, will make this a winner, for most in my opinion. The shape allows for beginners to love it or for those more experienced to enjoy putting it through his paces. The only design flaw I can see would be his strength...the size. For those who like a great deal of size this might not do it for you. Also, if you are using Tex for harness play he might slip our easily in certain positions, but with that said (and as a large man) I still found Tex perfectly capable for strapon sex when in positions that shorten my body length. His base is rounded and flared, keeping safely and comfortably in your body but out of the emergency room.

Tex performed as expected and intended. It was soft and comfortable, yet small enough to be more versatile for both me and my partner. Some might not be satisfied with the size of Tex, but if you buy him with that in mind I think most will love him. As with other silicone toys, temperature play and vibrations can be added to this toy to increase performance or add some spice. Being shorter, I found Tex to transmit vibrations through the shaft a bit better than Mustang, and warming Tex up first before insertion is quite enjoyable!

Being high quality silicone, as like most VixSkin toys, you can boil, bleach in a 10% solution, throw in the dishwasher or wash with antibacterial soap. VixSkin toys are made of food-grade materials, are hypo-allergenic, non-porous, and phthalates free so they are safe for the body and shouldn't retain smell. Its material and the ease of keeping clean is also great as it makes sharing this toy easy and fun, and as the saying goes, "those that share together stay together". Make sure to avoid silicone lube as it can bond with silicone toys such as the Tex and wreck your investment. Water based lubes work well!

Minimal care is needed to insure that this toy lasts a life time, and of course Vixen Creations offers a lifetime warranty. I store Tex in the tube he came in, which is cylindrical in shape and unobtrusive in nature. It's the perfect storage container that can fit anywhere, but also allows for upright storage. This is important as not only do we want to protect this great material from other lower quality toys we have grown to love, we also want to insure that Tex keeps his shape. I haven't experienced shape change in my Vixen toys, though it's always better to be safe than sorry.

Being a Vixen toy, Tex showed up at my door in a cylindrical tube that is perfect for transport and storage. The container is unobtrusive, protects the VixSkin duel density material from other forms of silicone/toy materials, and keeps Tex erect and in shape. I have never had a problem with Vixen toys loosing their shape, especially smaller toys such as this one; but best to be safe. You can tell a lot of thought went into not just the toy, but how it would be used and how to keep it safe for a long time...hence the lifetime guarantee. On the back of the tube there is a write-up about the material, the product, and all that good stuff, plus the tube is clear. This, to me, is a good idea as it allows for a quick selection through your toy collection and you can identify what it is you're looking for in short order.

I would fully recommend this toy to anyone and everyone. It's great having a go-to toy in one's box that can satisfy and adapt to the play at hand. My partner loves this toy enough to where we sometimes have to take turns, which is fine as I just ask to help and then it becomes a fun shared experience. Tex isn't the biggest dildo on the block but I certainly find myself choo choo choosing him more often than not!
