Bring The Bone Back!

If you are female and want something simple, this could very well be right up your alley. A steady rocking of the angled love bone will reach many g-spots, and the temperature play is always a perk. Finally, it's easy to clean and easy to care for!

Use

The love bone is well-used for a pleasant surprise. Its non-intimidating looks and lack of tricks (it doesn't vibrate, it doesn't have crazy texture, etc.) lure you into a false sense of comfort only to please you more easily than you could imagine! Upon looking at the love bone for the first time, I decided that this item would be good for some light vaginal play and "boning" jokes and not much else. I was really quite wrong. As with all glass items, temperature play quickly became one of my favorite aspects of the love bone, and the curved end was maneuvered to tickle my g-spot. When I wanted a little girth, I began to use the love bone backwards. In the end, the love bone found itself in regular use, and I found myself converted from a simple toy hater. Now, the love bone is still not flawless, and this is where you should take precaution. Anything that is used for temperature play can also become dangerous if the temperature isn't tested and is too intense. Glass toys are capable of bruising the cervix, but the love bone is slightly short for a thrusting toy anyway (give it a twirl instead). Finally, the end of the love bone is rather wide, but there is no base. Since glass can get slippery, since the love bone is short, and since there is no flared base, do me a favor and don't use this anally.

Material / Texture

The love bone is made of glass, which is not porous. It can also be sterilized by boiling, with a bleach solution, or on the top rack of your dishwasher. It can be cleaned in between sterilization with warm water and antibacterial soap or any kind of cleaner or wipe. Glass has no smell and no taste, and for this reason, sensitive noses rejoice! The love bone is smooth to the touch with the exception of the indent in the very end for the bone outline. The love bone is neither meant to be a realistic nor a discreet toy, though it does come modestly covered in a red velvet-like pouch with a drawstring. Glass does not offer any give, and for this reason, the love bone may be intimidating for those new to toys or glass.

Design / Shape / Size

The love bone is just about 5 1/2 inches long. If you keep a sturdy grip on the end of it, you won't find it nearly that insertable though, especially with glass being a slippery substance. Still, mosts g-spots are located within three inches of the entrance to the vagina. Rocking the bone up toward the g-spot may just tickle your fancy. The tip is just over a half an inch wide, and it gradually becomes wider until it is almost 1 3/4 inches wide. It is about 3/4 of an inch to an inch thick in varying parts. I do think that the curve of the bone makes all the difference in making this toy functional. I would like it to be a little longer, so that it didn't only appeal to the g-spot.

Performance

I don't think that this toy was designed to perform multiple sexual functions or to be complex. It's a simple toy with a couple of simple functions, and it performs well at those. I'm not normally a fan of simplistic toys, but I like that this is uncomplicated and low-maintenance. It is nice to have at least a few pieces in my collection of this nature.

Care and Maintenance

It's easy to clean and fairly simple to sterilize. It is easy to store as it comes with its own drawstring bag and bubble wrap. It won't melt or become malformed. It could break, but it's more likely to chip due to how thick it is (if it does chip, toss it). Glass is also compatible with all lubricants, though a tiny tiny bit of lube should be used if any is used at all. Otherwise, good luck with the slip and slide of the toy.

Packaging

The love bone came in the typical red velvet-like pouch that many of the glass toys come in. It was also wrapped in bubble wrap, which I tend to reuse for storage. I would like a padded bag opposed to a bag with bubble wrap in it, but I suppose I could purchase that separately here on EF. I commonly knot the drawstring upon storing the glass toy because I have been know to tip toys out of the bags on accident otherwise. I wouldn't say that the packaging is gift-worthy. However, the small bag is manageable for me to store in a drawer with several other toys unlike some of the large boxes that other items are packaged in. Finally, no instructions were included, but I think this toy is pretty self-explanatory.
Follow-up commentary
I think that when I received the love bone free with my order, I was positively biased against it. Since my last review, I have not used the love bone even a single time. There are just too many cool looking and multi-functioning toys for the bone to keep my interest. This might be good for a first glass toy, but it's probably not the best option for someone who knows their glass toys well.

Thanks for sharing on this! It looks so awkward to use. I appreciated you sharing how you used this one. I was wondering how well it'd work for anything because it just looks so different from any other glass dildo. Very strange. I'm just not sure it'd do anything for me. I really enjoyed your review, though! Thank you very much for the detail you included.
