Icicles No. 17 - dildo discontinued by Pipedream - review by Mr. & Mrs. Peg

The Icicles No. 17 dildo by Pipedreams is an elegant and artistic glass dildo that will target your internal pleasure spots with precision and pressure. The first glass dildo I bought for Mrs. Peg had a flower in the handle end of it. She likes to garden and loves her flowers. Even knowing this I was a little surprised by how taken she was by this little detail. When I saw the No. 17 with its yellow flower in the business end, I knew I had to get it for her. The day after it arrived I bought a bouquet of flowers and put this in the middle before tying the whole thing up in a ribbon. Flowers may help you get lucky. Flowers with a gorgeous glass dildo inside will help you have fun.

The No. 17 is made out of borosilicate glass. This glass is essentially equivalent to Pyrex, so it is extremely sturdy and not prone to damage under normal use. I’ve dropped the No. 17 on hardwood floors and the dildo was not damaged. It might not fair so well on tile. If you do drop it, inspect it carefully for chips or cracks but I really think you would need to work at damaging this toy. We think it will last forever.

Aside for its inherent durability, glass has a few other outstanding features. First, it is non-porous so it can be sterilized either chemically (1:10 ratio of bleach to water solution), or with heat (boiling it in a pot of water or steaming it in the dishwasher or a rice cooker). This allows you to share this toy between partners after a thorough cleaning. For general cleaning, soap and warm water should be sufficient. Glass can also be used with any lubricant whether it is a silicone or oil lube, or one that is water-based. Nothing will hurt this thing. The other great thing about glass is its ability to hold heat or cold making it the perfect material for temperature play. Mrs. Peg prefers warm toys so running the No. 17 under some warm water for a couple of minutes got it to just the right temperature (always test temperature on a safe place like your forearm before applying a hot or cold toy to someone’s lady bits or man parts).

Glass is also, obviously, very rigid. This allows you to apply firm and direct pressure. The design of the No. 17 makes this even easier with it curving shaft. The 1 9/16 inch ball at the tip of the No. 17 is angled up (or down) so that it is easy to target your g-spot or p-spot. The one inch wide shaft is curved slightly in two directions, like an ‘S’ that was almost completely straightened out. The curve helps give you extra leverage and helps to control how firmly you are stimulating your insides. The shaft has a flat, tear-drop shaped, and offset tab on the end of it that is very easy to hold onto and assists in controlling thrusting and rocking the No. 17 against your special spots. This tab also serves as a base that allows the No. 17 to stand on end. This dildo is beautiful enough to leave on the nightstand as a piece of décor as well. Some people may recognize it for what it is, but those people are in your bedroom so that may not be a bad thing.

The No.17 is eight and a half inches long. Almost all of that is insertable. The shaft is perfectly (and I mean absolutely) smooth and has a deep cobalt blue color. It is translucent and looks gorgeous in the light. The ball is crystal clear, has an equally flawless surface, and has a seven petal yellow flower formed inside. The flower, although glass, looks remarkably like a real pansy. The No. 17 is truly a beautiful glass sculpture that has the extra added benefit of being an amazing dildo that anyone can enjoy.
