I would skip this "gem"
I definitely would not recommend this toy and am kind of disappointed in Doc Johnson on this one. I expect a little more from a company I generally consider reputable.Published: September 27, 2011
Pros:
It's pretty and feminine. Good size if you are looking for a smaller dildo.
Cons:
Smelly. Sticky texture. Irritating. Doesn't stay in harness.
This is a pretty, pearly pink, modestly-sized toy that falls short in most areas that matter. I was looking for a simple, flexible, small-ish dildo and the price was unbeatable. I had high hopes when I purchased this.
My biggest (but not only) complaint is the chemical smell. I'm not generally overly sensitive to scents, but find this to be a bit overpowering and a definite turn off. They call it "lightly-scented". For the life of me, I cannot fathom why they would intentionally make it smell this way!
The texture is smooth but has sort of sticky feeling, which leaves a slight residue on my fingers after handling it and I have to wonder what exactly that is. (Just taking it out to look at while I write this review is making me need to go wash my hands). It was like that since I opened it and no matter how many times I wash it, it still feels that way. I found it was irritating in a slightly burning itchy internal kind of way. I have had many dozens of toys through the years and can only think of one other that caused a reaction like that (and that was way back when I was a toy novice and bought something super cheap). I found that the only way I can use it at all is covered with a condom and it can be a somewhat useful added stimulation when using a clitoral vibe. I do like the length and the shape, and although I wanted something yielding, this is perhaps a little too flexible to provide a whole lot of sensation upon thrusting.
I have yet to find a hard surface that the slightly concave base will actually create any suction on and there is not enough flare in the base to stay in my Joque harness. It may work with a true O'ring harness, but I wouldn't count on it.

The smell! Holy cow!
-
I'd read a few reviews for this talking about the smell of this dildo. I expected there to be a smell, just not the one that came with it!
I ordered this with an assignment. I just got it today. I am excited to see if it is good, though. Hopefully in about a week or so I can have a review written for it!

Thank you for viewing Radiant gems G-spot – dildo review page!

Wow... sounds like you had a pretty unpleasant experience with this one... I'll have to put this one on my avoid list.
Wow, this is disappointing. Especially for D.J.! It looks nice, but I hate that it was so awful for you. Lightly scented just sounds scary to me! Lol. What size is this? I'm guessing it does vibrate since you mentioned not getting much clitoral stim from the vibration? You might want to check out Tantus' dildos. They are very similar in size and color of this one, but much better quality! Just type Tantus in the search box at the top of the page here on Eden and I bet you'll end up really enjoying one of those. They have large sizes too, but many smaller ones for people like me where it is not possible to insert huge dildos. Anyways, thanks for the review and I sure hope you find better luck with your next one! I hate being let down by a toy that seems so promising. What a bummer!
I really was surprised in DJ...they're a brand I tend to trust. It doesn't vibrate....I just meant it's only real use for me is with some sort of clitoral vibe (bullet, pocket rocket, etc), if I'm wanting penetration. But, it's so soft that it barely does the trick even in that aspect.
I'm definitely going to check out the Tantus line some more. I have the Feeldoe and it's fantastic!
The diameter is 1 3/8 and the length is 7 1/2 (6" insertable) . I think it is a good size if you're looking for something on the small side.
Thanks for the review
I'll pass...thanks

Great review
That gross residue is caused by phthalates, a product used to soften plastics. It slowly seeps out and often causes irritation. I have an awful reaction to it personally (this toy gave me one of the worst). Really disappointing because this toy is fun aside from that. Thanks for the review!
