The pictures don't do this lovely piece justice. It looks like such a simple double-ended dildo, but it is simply spectacular. Like most dildos it is designed for insertion, and like most double-ended dildos this is designed for vaginal insertion specifically. I would not consider it anal safe at all, since there is no flare to it. But it is lovely for oral and vaginal exploration as long as you are careful not to cause bruising. It is long enough (~8.5" overall) to be fully inserted and still have plenty to hold onto. And the difference in textures of the two ends makes it a really interesting experience to swap from one side to the other. The swirled end is especially well suited as a handle, since it's easy to grip even when slippery. That leaves the lovely flared head inserted, which doesn't make me sad at all.

Glass is compatible with any type of lube, and this dildo is so smooth that a small amount of water based lube went a long way for me.

The borosilicate glass has a nice heft to it, and can be warmed or cooled with water for an extensive range of temperature play. At room temperature it feels shockingly cold against skin, and takes about 5-10 minutes to warm up. After resting in hot water for about 10 minutes it was almost too hot to touch and took about 20 minutes to fully cool down to body temperature.

Glass has a list of benefits that makes it one of the top materials for penetration/insertion toys. It's completely inert, body safe, compatible with any lube (or none at all) and even though it may sound intimidating, it is very safe. The glass used is the same sort as in labware or kitchen measuring cups, which means it has been tempered to be very strong and resistant to breaking. Even if it does break, it won't shatter into dangerous small pieces, instead it breaks into large chunks that are safe and easy to clean up. It's a good idea to do a quick inspection for chips or nicks before using, just in case, but other than that the care is minimal and you'll get a lifetime of service from this toy. I tend to give mine a quick wash in warm soapy water, pat dry with a towel and put it back in the storage pouch.

Glass is odorless, tasteless, and completely non-porous. This makes it safe to share between partners, with careful cleanup afterwards.

Some of the advantages can also be drawbacks, however. Glass is very heavy, which means it can slip out of wet hands. I tend to use glass toys in bed instead of the bathtub, as an example. It is also incredibly firm, which means vigorous thrusting can cause bruising. Pay attention to what you're doing, and make sure any others who use this toy are aware and you'll be fine. Glass also lasts forever, so start thinking about who might appreciate a gift when you're finally done using it. Since it is dishwasher and boiling water safe these toys are simple to sanitize before passing on.

Like most toys from SSA Glass this one comes in a thin velvet pouch which helps protect the dildo. It's not padded so I wouldn't trust the pouch to protect this from more than incidental damage, but it is nice packaging. I would consider this suitable for gifting as is.

The toy I received measures 8.5" in overall length, close to half of which is a swirled and twisted texture, then a smooth area that has a very slight curve to it, then at the far end a semi-realistic flared head that looks like the head of a penis. It is almost 5" around the widest part of the flared head and the rest of the shaft is right below 4" around. The widest part of the twisted end was right at 4" around. I found these dimensions to be supremely satisfying - thick enough to feel substantial when inserted but not so thick as to be uncomfortable given the rigidity of the material.

I give the performance of this toy two thumbs up and a big smile. Sex toys are all, of course, subject to personal preferences. So I can only really tell you that this one hits everything on my wish list for an insertable toy: Safe material, incredible heft and strength, lovely temperature difference when inserted, thick enough to provide a feeling of fullness without overly stretching me, and the ability to enjoy new sensations just by reversing the toy. The slight curve means both ends are possible G-spot stimulators, but I found the flared head far more effective. The straighter shape of the twirled end meant lovely texture stimulation but less focused G-spot stimulation. And that swirling texture was an unexpected bonus for me. I was not sure if I'd like it or not when I ordered the toy, but it turned out to be one of my favorite parts. When moved slowly each little ridge is noticeable. But as the speed picks up the sensations smooth out a bit, still there, but not nearly as intense as I'd feared.

Super simple - glass is a fantastic material for easy care. After use wash up with soap and warm water or a toy wipe, dry and put away until next time. If you need to do a deeper clean or wish to sanitize it before sharing with another person you can use a dishwasher, or boiling water. Keep the toy away from things that might chip or scratch it, and try to avoid falls from great heights. Other than that there is no maintenance. Glass will never develop odors and needs no special treatment to be ready to go next time you are!

Basic packaging is simple yet tasteful. The dildo comes in an unpadded red velvet pouch with a drawstring closure. It won't protect the toy from heavy duty shocks, but it does keep it covered and will keep it safe in a toy box.
