Cleopatra clit clip review

My interest in a Cleopatra clit clip was spurred by my recent fascination with clitoral hood piercing. The reality is that I simply don’t have the balls to endure the initial pain of the piercing and the potential risk of causing any sort of permanent damage to my orgasmic ability. My first impression of the clip was… well… unimpressive. First, there were no instructions in the packaging whatsoever, just the same description found on Eden Fantasys’ site. Looking at it, it seems pretty simple: a U-shaped clip that obviously slips over the clit along the groove between the inner and outer labia. Seems simple enough, right? Not really.

My first attempt at trying the clip was a complete failure, not to mention more than a little painful. I pushed that baby on as quickly as I could only to be in near agony. It snagged in my untrimmed pubic hair and practically adhered to my most delicate of tissues. It pinched my lips together so tightly that even the slightest bit of movement made the clip pinch and tug in the most unpleasant way. The worst part was that there was absolutely no stimulation whatsoever. Removing it minutes later proved to be a more difficult task. Remember the comment about adhering earlier… um, yeah. It felt like I was peeling the skin off of my vulva. Not pleasant.

Not being one to get deterred so easily, I went online to find out how to use the darned thing. There are a few things that I didn’t consider in my haste to adorn my pussy: 1) While the length of the clip cannot be adjusted, the width of the opening can; (2) the use of lubrication should never be overlooked; (3) it is called a “clit” clip for a reason; (4) anything with the word clip in it is likely to “clip” onto hair.

In order, to make your play with a clip more enjoyable, learn from my pain. Before putting the clip, stretch it open a bit. Once you get used to the feel, you can tighten it up if you need to. The clit needs to be erect of semi-erect to stay in place. Use some saliva or a very, very (did I mention very?) tiny drop of lube on your clit and along the groove between your inner and outer lips. Slide the clip down over the hood following that groove. After a nice wax job and some healing time, I tried the clip again with my new found knowledge. I tried it again several times, in fact.

My findings? The clit clip is not for me. First, I just didn’t find it to be aesthetically pleasing. The crystals are plastic, and while sanitary, don’t look that nice to me. I am also not a big fan of gold, especially matte gold finishes. In addition, it seems that there is a reason why the woman on the image has rather large labia. At first, I thought that was a better way to highlight the adornment. My labia and clit apparently are not very large. If I so much as moved, the clip would slip off not matter how much I tightened it. Also, I found the sensation of clipping my labia shut to be distracting and not particularly sensual, just annoying. However, someone else might enjoy that very much. I think that is definitely a case of personal preference.
