I was a bit surprised at the Liberte when it first arrived. I know that I had looked at the specs before I ordered, but this toy seemed a little small when it arrived. It is a discreet massager, which means that the size actually is a check in the pro column: it's great for those lonely nights away from home.

Although the size does not pack a punch, this little Liberte 3 has one heck of a vibrating function: 7 vibrating functions to be exact. The vibrations are not earth-shattering, but they are better than the cheaper toys on the market. The seven functions include low, medium, high, escalating (what I like to refer to as a "helicopter"), and three different pulsating settings. All are a little noisy, but nothing that would prohibit you from fun with the door closed. You can choose to start out slow and cycle through all of the different settings, or turn it up to your favorite setting and let it ride. Just like with many other multi-function vibrating settings I have experienced, this one does not let you just go to the one you like. For example, if you love the last pulsating setting, you must cycle through all of the rest with the single button. But the button is easy to find with it's red/orange glow.

The shape of this toy also slightly creeps me out. Because of the petite size, the shape resembles a large thumb because of the slight curve at the tip. The curve I suppose is meant to find the g-spot, but since the vibrations are not strongest at the tip, this didn't do much for me.

What I like best about this toy is that it is made from soft, safe silicone. This is my first toy to ever rate a 10 for material safety, and I am pretty sure that I don't want to go back to the less expensive (and less safe!) toys. This one is super easy to clean and can even be used in water.
