A Mild Warming

This is a great warming lubricant for me, someone who doesn't like intense heat from oils and lubricants. However, it might be too mild for some. As a lubricant it isn't too messy, is slick, relatively long lasting, and is easy to clean up. It helps to replace some of the body warmth intimacy that it sometimes lost with the use of synthetic lubricants.

Use

For me, warming lubricants are such a hit or miss, and unfortunately are usually a miss. On rare occasion I find one that adds to my pleasure instead of takes from it and I found that with this JO System's lubricant. The Personal H20 Warming lubricant does not have an overwhelming or unpleasant rise in temperature, but instead one that gives back to the realness and intimacy that is reduces sometimes as a necessary evil of lubricants. Being water based, it is also easy to clean up. absorbs nicely, and can be used with silcione toys. It is also thicker than the average water based lubricant, so it can be used for anal toy play, but I don't recommend it for anal sex.

This JO lubricant is safe for the body by being L-Arginine, Petro-chemicals, and Glycerin free. Note that this lubricant does contain parabens. Although the scientific information is lacking, some trials have linked parabens as a carcinogen. I found it to be non irritating and it worked with my natural chemistry very well.

JO's Personal H20 Warming lubricant is thicker than average water based lubricants I have tried. This is a great thing because it helps keep the lubricant where you put it instead creating of a drippy mess. The bottle further makes it easy to squeeze out the lubricant in the right amount needed. The lubricant is clear, very slick, and blends nicely with natural juices. It leaves the hands feeling a bit slimy. If you don't want to wait for it to dry to get rid of this feeling, a simple wipe on a towel does the trick.

Taste / Aroma

This lubricant has a VERY light smell that can only be detected when it is right at your nose. I happen to like it because it reminds me of peppermint with a hint of citrus fruit. I wish the smell were stronger actually! There is a slight taste, but nothing overwhelming. If this isn't slathered on, it shouldn't affect your ability to give oral after play.

Performance

JO's Personal H20 Warming lubricant fell great on contact and blends in well with my natural juices. The sensation of temperature was slight and I preferred it this way. Some warming lubricants raise the heat a bit too high and end up being distracting or irritating. This lubricant wasn't. In fact it amped up the intimacy by creating the sensation that we were even closer and feeling each other body heat. I liked that it lasted a long time and out of the handful of times we used this vaginally, we only had to reapply it once for an extra long and steamy session. This was also the only time that we felt required immediate clean up. The other times, the lubricant absorbed into my skin nicely. If you use too much, it doesn't get sticky but instead leaves too much for the skin to absorb. If we wanted to wash it off, it does clean up easy with water and soap.

I also used this with toys. I didn't feel the warming sensation as much, probably because this warms on contact. Less skin=less warming. It can be used for toys however and even for anal play with toys. It is not thick slick enough for anal sex in my opinion.

Packaging

The packing is very simple and sharp. Available in three sizes ( 2 of the 3 are available on eden currently), 2.5, 4.5, and 8 fluid ounces. All three come in clear recyclable bottles with black snap open tops which are easy to use. While the label on the bottle does say things like "Personal Lubricant", the bottle itself does not demand attention and would probably go unnoticed among other toiletry items. During the time I have had the bottle, it doesn't leak if closed tightly. It has leaked on occasion, however not that much. If you cannot store this upright, put in a plastic bag just in case.

For an average session with this lubricant, I found that a nickle size dollop was good. This means that the bottle will last a really long time, especially if you get one of the larger ones.

I give this lubricant 4 stars. It had good longevity, a nice light warming feeling, and pleasant smell. But, for people looking for a warming lubricant, they might be dissapointed with the mildness of this one. I also didn't like how it made my hands feel. However, I am glad that I have a go to warming lubricant that I can trust to not ruin the mood!

I still like this warming lubricant from JO, however it does not get a whole lot of use. It is more of a "for a change" type lube, but I do REALLY like to use it for manual stimualtion between my partner and I. It feels great for hand jobs and fingerings as well as all over genital massages.

For some reason, warming lubes don't tend to work for me either, though my husband loves them. I just feel like I am slathered with Ben Gay and the feeling just makes me feel numb.

I noticed this had peppermint in it, which I have heard is a good clitoral sensitizer. Did you notice such an effect with this product? I'd like to try a clit stimulating gel/cream/whatever to see if perhaps it might work for me.
