Warm But Not Hot

Overall, this is a great lube that just doesn't make a big bang with the new "sensation". The texture is great and it's long lasting (I've barely made a dent in my bottle), but I wouldn't rave about it over the regular Jo water-based lube.

Use

This is a fantastic water-based lube for use with silicone (and other material) toys, latex, and any other kind of play. A little product goes a very long way, the texture is great, and it doesn't cause irritation or discomfort.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The texture is smooth and non-tacky. While it is viscous enough to go where it needs to, it doesn't get messy so long as you figure out how much is the perfect amount for you. Even with my most drying toys (the Sqweel comes to mind), it does its job and stays put, while still pouring easy from the bottle.

    • Smooth

Taste / Aroma

I'm assuming the "mentha piperita" (peppermint) is what gives it its slightly minty smell and taste, but it isn't overpowering and the taste doesn't linger. Without directly smelling the bottle, it's basically odorless.

Performance

The lube goes on cool and warms up almost immediately but it's not a huge difference from the original JO H2O lube. I can switch back and forth and barely notice the difference. However, both products are still great for regular use. It washes off easily with soap and water and it doesn't leave any sort of sticky feeling or residue. I bought it to see if I would like the "warming" aspect of a lube I already love but it's not a huge enough difference that I would rave about the new sensation.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely
    • Long lasting
    • Needs to be washed off with soap and water

Packaging

The bottle is easy to open and close and the label is discreet and neutral looking. It doesn't scream "sex lube" but it does say "personal lubricant", so any discerning visitor would understand its use.

Cool, a bit of peppermint sounds like a good smell for lube.
