We have tried a few of the cheaper cock rings, mostly the ones that are only good for a couple hours and then have to be thrown away. Just for fun I thought it would be nice to try one that was higher end.
This is so wonderful! It fits just right, a little snug without being painful or difficult to get on or remove.
It provides great clitoral stimulation when worn upright. Or, labial and scrotal stimulation when worn upside down. It is stretchy enough to fit around the balls and the penis together if you were inclined to do so.
The ring part is made of silicone while the top part with the motor is made of plastic. To turn it on, all you have to do is slide the top onto the ring. The vibrations are strong and easily felt.
This ring is rechargeable just like Lelo's other products. It comes with a nice hard case for storage that has a port so you can charge it while it is in its case.
The packaging is nice, a hard black box, and makes the ring presentable if giving it as a gift.
Cleaning the ring part is easy as it is silicone. So warm water and soap will get it clean. But with the top motor part it is important to not submerge it in water or allow water to stream over the port. It has the potential to mess up the rechargeable battery otherwise.
Because it is partly silicone, it is important to remember to only use lubricants that are not made of silicone. So water-based lubes would be best. We found that lubricating his penis and the ring made it slide on much easier. When nothing was used it had a tendency to pull at the skin.

Experience
We found that it works great for clitoral stimulation when the top of the ring is on the top-side of the penis. It provided some nice stimulation to his scrotum when it was worn with the top of the ring on the under-side of the penis.

Is this realy all it's cracked up to be, or should I just tape a bullet vibe to my balls and call it a day. Because the motor on this thing doesn't look any bigger then your average $20 cock ring, and yet it's over 3 times that. It just seems like a rip off for a so called luxury sex toy thats nothing more then a stretchy band with a rechargeable vibe attached.

I think the cost is mostly because it's rechargeable, and not necessarily because it's something super revolutionary.

My boyfriend and I have this. I like it because it's made of non-porous material, and it's rechargeable. You can re-use it a lot more than the jelly rings that uses bullets operated by watch batteries.
Personally I am not a big fan of vibrating rings in general. I wanted to experiment. I hate porous material and watch batteries. Lelo bo then became a very obvious choice.
The vibration from bo is not very rumbly, it's pretty buzzy. It's more of a tease during intercourse. We don't use it often though.

I actually was pretty worried that it would be too large when I ordered it. I pictured it being top heavy and falling to one side or the other. =)
But really once it arrived and I held it, it didn't seem so big anymore. And then once it was on, and the silicone was stretched out, the size actually seemed right.

I would definitely recommend this as a first vibrating cock ring. It is high quality, and pretty simply designed. I don't think it's scary looking or intimidating in any way. Personally I like to buy better quality first, spending less money in the long run.
The only thing I might recommend, because it is kind of expensive, is maybe purchasing a cheaper one first just to be sure that you and your bf even like cock rings. I would hate to see you spend so much only to find that he hates having anything on him like that. Could maybe pick up a cheap disposable one to try out first.
