This so-called tongued cock ring has a pretty simple premise behind it. Downwards pressure on the base of your penis is translated to direct pressure on your perineum. Ultimately, the Tantus Silicone cock ring is not actually that much more than an ordinary cock ring. That said, however, it is an extremely good cock ring, and has become my favorite from within the small collection of them that I own.
Pros:
High-quality material, comfortable, and easily maintainable.

Little unique benefit beyond a regular cock ring, not as adjustable as other cock rings.
I'm not one of those guys that gets really excited about penis rings. It's just never been one of those things that seemed of particular interest, especially when there are so many other kinds of interesting and innovative toys around. In fact, that's actually why I decided to try out the Tantus Silicone cock ring; its peculiar tongue-like protrusion made this toy seem like more than just a cock ring.

The thing that makes it so solid is its high-quality material. The black silicone it's made out of provides a very comfortable fit while being pleasantly firm at the same time. Since it's so firm, it did actually manage to deliver a bit of pressure to my perineum when I wore it, but not quite enough to make that quality really stand out. Of course, since it's so firm, it was also a little harder to get on than some other, stretchier cock rings.
I found out very quickly that the best way to make full use the cock ring is actually with one's hands or, better yet, a partner's hands! By stroking my penis along its full length and being sure to press down firmly at its base, each stroke became a little extra pleasurable because the tongue would press into my prostate.
With one's hands, I could focus the pressure of a stroke at the base of my penis, which wasn't really possible while having intercourse. In fact, my girlfriend said she didn't event feel the cock ring at all when I wore it while we fucked. I suppose that's either a good thing or a bad thing, depending on what your expectations were.
Unfortunately, there's really little to distinguish the Tantus Silicone cock ring from the rest of the cock rings on the market and its tongue didn't really meet my expectations. That said, thanks to the quality of the toy as a very good cock ring, I'm going to give it a solid three stars.

I want to get this for my husband for the sole reason that it is sexy looking. Good that it is a good ring, but too bad that the tounge part isn't that special. Too bad my husband isn't up to intermediate rings yet :( As soon as he is though, I'll be buying this for him.
Hi Bulma. That's a good point: this cock ring sure does look pretty neat! It's a little bit like an old fashioned codpiece but, well…not, for obvious reasons. :)
I actually think that, as far as cock rings go, this is probably not bad for "beginners" or other who haven't had much experience with cock rings in the past, mostly because it's just a really good one. It does the primary job—constricting the base of the penis and keeping it hard—really well. If my first experience with cock rings were with rings of this quality, I'd probably be more into them.
Anyway, good luck introducing this one to your husband. If it were me, I'd be thrilled at a gift like this! And, if it were me doing the buying, I'd be thrilled at a price like this!

This looks fascinating - I've not have much luck with cock rings (er, with my husband with cock rings) in the past. I like the difference this one has, and it sounds like it might be more successful than others I've tried. Plus, Tantus - I like their stuff!

@Epiphora: No, I didn't find the protrusion, or the tongue of the cock ring, to be a nuisance at all. In fact, I didn't really notice it much, which was the problem of course. I think it might have been better if it were angled a little further.
@Curvaceous Dee: As far as cock rings go, this was definitely more successful than all the other standard ones I've tried, so yeah, give it a go. Also, it's hard to go wrong when buying silicone of this quality for the low price here. As long as you sanitize it properly, you can even re-gift it if needed!

It's too bad this didn't really stand out for you. I don't think there are too many companies producing 100% silicone cock rings though, so from that standpoint it is pretty unique. Tantus really tries to make toys for both men and women. Silicone definitely does not have the give of some of the other materials out there though. Glad it hasn't been a total waste for you. I have the metal version of the teardrop cockring - the one made of heavier metal, not the aluminum type, which I haven't tried. I consider it my desert island sex toy, a Cadillac vehicle for self-pleasure. My perineum may be extra sensitive, but it just works for me and gives me the best orgasms, day-in, day-out. I give the metal one five stars and much prefer it to my silicone one, which seems pale by comparison.
