Illume happiology candles by Illume candles - review by Beautiful Dreamer

My initial impression of the Happiology candle was that the packaging is very pretty, very elegant. It’s definitely the kind of thing I’d want to give or receive as a gift. The hand blown glass that holds the candle has a similar pattern as the box and definitely should be reused after the candle is done burning. The glass container is clear in and the pattern is a muted gold. The candle’s wax is ivory and has a total burn time of approximately 40 hours.

The wick should first be trimmed to no longer than 1/4" in length and the candle should be placed on a heat resistant surface. Upon lighting the candle my room is immediately filled with a very pleasurable, very relaxing scent. The scent was definitely there, but not overpowering. The mint is very subtle and not overwhelming and the yuzu is definitely welcome. Yuzu is an Asian citrus, comparable to a grapefruit in size. The candle burns very cleanly thanks to being made from completely natural soy, palm, and beeswax. The wick is lead free, so no worries there either. This candle also makes for a nice addition to a bubble bath or an intimate evening. The scent isn’t overtly feminine or masculine, rather fresh and reminiscent of a spa.

This wax isn’t specifically designed for wax play and it does burn at a high temperature. Therefore, it probably would be best to simply enjoy the fragrance of this candle. Anytime one uses a candle, common sense should be used. Please do not burn this around pets, small children, by an open window, or where anything could accidentally come in contact with the open flame and ignite. As long as proper use and common sense is used, this Happiology candle will certainly bring a very welcome fragrance to your day. The combination of mint, yuzu, and essential oils really makes this fragrance pop.
