Headache City

This product bummed me out. It not only doesn't smell at all like the body oil in the same line, but it's super strong and gave me a terrible headache. Not normally one for such severe reactions, I can only assume that if you often have issues with powerful perfumes this is not the one for you. On the upside it does last a long time!

Use

This product is sold as a body fragrance. Body sprays like this are meant to be misted over the entire body, opposed to perfumes which are supposed to be applied sparingly in key points around your body. This mist can also be used on clothing for a stronger, more lasting smell, sprayed into your bath water in small amounts if you want your whole body to smell lightly of this, or can even be spritzed onto your bed sheets.

The scent of this product is strongly floral, and slightly fruity. It would be fine to wear out to lunch or if you're just lounging around at home, but if you're going to a business meeting or are heading out on a sexy excursion you may want something a bit less playfully feminine.

This spray is marketed towards women, but both guys and gals can wear this. If you're male and keep this on the bathroom counter, you may get some odd looks because it does say "Naughty Secrets" and such on it, but if you want to smell pretty and floral no one here will think any differently of you because of it.

In this product, the ingredients are as follows:

Alcohol Denaturant, Water (Eau), Fragrance (Parfum), Camedllia Sinensis (White Tea) Leaf Extract, Copulandrone (Parfum), Copuline-alike (Parfum), Reconstituted Andronone (Parfum)

All of these products seem to be pretty safe, and none are a common health hazard. Even though this seems to be okay for everyone to use, you should certainly test this on a small patch of skin before you spritz down your wardrobe with it. You don't want that to be the first time you discover an allergy.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This product is very, very thin. Fortunately the sprayer on the top of this bottle creates a very fine mist out of it that rests lightly wherever it lands. Because the main ingredient is alcohol based this is slightly thinner than water in viscosity, and if you puddle it onto your skin it may drip.

Once you mist this onto your skin it may make it a tiny bit shinier at first, but it quickly fades and leaves your skin, fabric, or whatever else you misted it onto looking just the same as it did before. Because it dries so quickly it doesn't rub off on anything, but if you spray it heavily on your skin your clothes may smell lightly of this at the end of the day.

This may make your skin feel a bit slicker than before you applied it if you spray on a lot and it hasn't had the opportunity to dry yet, but once it dries it leaves your skin feeling just the same as before. It's not sticky, greasy, or tacky, something that really puts me off of some oil-based body sprays.

If this spills onto your things it will run all over the place, and because of the bottle this is a possibility. If it does spill it's easy enough to wipe up the liquid with a towel. After being spilled I didn't notice any residue left on what it came in contact with.

Taste / Aroma

If you are easily irritated in any way by scents, you should shy away from the Make Me Blush version of this scent. I may get the Citrus scent just to see if I like it any more, but as it is this scent will be finding a new home with someone who is less prone to getting headaches from body sprays.

The scent itself is described as "A Breath of Petal Softness Combines Sweet Pea and Blue Violet with a Blush of Powdery White Cedar." This is sort of what I pick up, but I also smell a tiny bit of lychee in the background giving it a bit of a fruity aroma. The cedar is there making it smell a bit darker than some pure floral scents, bit I wouldn't have been able to pick out what floral scents were there because it seems a bit like 'generic' floral to me.

The scent itself is one of the strongest I've tried. It actually is a bit longer lasting than the Bath and Body Works body sprays that I use when I don't want to have to reapply my scent all day, and those are products that people often complain about being too strong. If you want a light, subtle scent that will waft pleasantly around you all day, this is not it.

My boyfriend really disliked the scent, even though this scent is supposed to be attractive to men. Everyone is different and because I had such an issue with the scent giving me a headache he mostly smelled in on the bottle and on what it spilled on to, but he is happy that this isn't going to be my new favorite body spray.

I would not recommend tasting this product because of the ingredients. It also isn't good to spray this anywhere you plan on getting licked or kissed in the near future. Even though it does smell pretty, you should stick to things meant to be ingested if that's what you need a product for.

Performance

This product is very effective at making you smell like the spray. It lasts all day, and if you spray it on your clothing or bedsheets it may last longer. I found that after spraying myself in the chest before class in the morning this scent was still very clearly there that night after two meals at the gross cafeteria and many long treks in the harsh, dusty, desert wind.

Along with being long lasting, this product also smells very strongly. After spraying it on my jacket I could smell it when walking all day as well as when I was sitting down at the table. It also smelled up the room that I sprayed it in all day until I left the door open to air it out.

This is definitely the most long-lasting of all the sprays I've tried on Eden. If you love the scent this is a very good thing, but if you can't stand the scent this will be a bad thing. If you hate scents that are strong and linger around you all day this isn't for you, but the upside is that you don't have to reapply it to keep the scent fresh.

I didn't notice any effects of the supposed pheromones this product contains. If anything, this spray and scent served to repel my boyfriends affections. Everyones body reacts and changes pheromones depending on your natural chemistry so this may really attract men on someone else, but on me I noticed no change at all.

This product washed off skin fairly well, and after a run through the washing machine it was completley undetectable on my clothes. This is a huge deal because you may not like it, and there's nothing worse than your jacket smelling like a perfume you hate.

Packaging

This product seemed to slip through the awesome system at Eden. Usually any beauty product I receive (even lip balms) comes wrapped in a plastic baggie. This is to prevent anything from leaking all over the rest of the lovely things you got from them. This is the first product I got that WASN'T wrapped in a plastic baggie. May be the plastic baggie wrapper was on break? Left early for the weekend? I don't know, but I just want to make sure that everyone knows that this is not the norm for the site.

Well, in transit this bottle leaked EVERYWHERE. It leaked all over my cool descriptive review items, all over my sexy, sleek Close 2 You box, and all over my cool new rabbit vibrator. I have the packaging airing out, but I think that it may have to go because of the scent.

Other than being super leaky all over my new cool toys, this bottle is fairly large. It comes in a bottle with 6 fl. ounces, which because of the strong scent, will last a very long time. It's not very discreet at all, but it doesn't have any lewd words or naked women on the front either. It does clearly say that there is a sex attractant.

If I liked the product better, this would be a fine gift to give. Other than keeping it upright, it looks pretty and you get a lot of it. It's easy to spray and I really like the fact that it mists very finely.

Experience

This story seems to be a common theme for me:

I recently acquired another body product (the body oil) in this 'scent.' It reminded me of lychee candies in the scent and was almost not floral at all, something that was a wonderful surprise. The reviews on this scent also said that they loved it so of course I snagged the body spray.

It smells NOTHING like the body dew. The body spray is much more floral and has almost no (what to me smells like) lychee. It's not entirely bad, it's just not what I wanted when I ordered it. I tend to stray away from floral scents because they give me headaches, and if I had smelled this scent before I ordered it I would have gotten the Citrus instead.

I may get the citrus since it's on sale and I like summery scents, but the Make Me Blush scent is just a dud. I will be passing this along to a friend who gets all of my unwanted body products to see if she likes it more, but between it leaking all over my other toys in the package and it being so strong, I don't want it in my sight anymore.

I REALLY want to give this product two stars, but I think that it deserves at least 3. It has nice ingredients and it is long lasting, but it doesn't smell like the oil and it causes me pain. The leaky bottle also is enough to knock this down. Some people will love this, but more sensitive users won't.

UUUGHHH GREAT review, but I'm sorry that it didn't work out. I get migraines like crazy and so many perfumes set them off! I was hoping the "make me blush" scent would be light enough to work for me, but I have to wonder. Thanks for the great review!
