Liberator Whirl XT - position pillow by Liberator - review by Redboxbaby

I have to be honest, I purchased the Whirl XT with ulterior motives/uses in mind. I have MS and sometimes getting quality sleep is near impossible. I was hoping if I placed it under my knees while I slept, it would help with restless leg type symptoms, MS related cramping in my calves and feet, and help alleviate low back pain by providing stiff lumbar support while watching TV in bed. For these purposes, the Whirl XT is perfect in length, width, and height and I could not be happier. My massage therapist is amazed at the difference in my shoulder and back since I have been using it and the cramping in my feet and calves is nearly gone altogether.

As far as use during sex, the Whirl makes doggy style a breeze. No sore back, no weak/sore arms or elbows, or wrists! If you or your partner love being on all fours, the Whirl would be right up your alley and make a great addition to your sex life.

The Whirl XT is 24" long and 9" high. It is 2" higher than the Liberator Wedge and 2" shorter than the Liberator Ramp, so if you are looking for something in the middle, this is it.

We have 6 Liberator products (the Ramp, the Wedge, the Hitachi Axis, the Esse, the Shag Throe, and now the Whirl XT). Our products get a lot of use, as well as weekly (sometimes twice a week) washings. Liberator takes great care in the manufacturing of their pillows, and their covers. The stitching is impeccable and holds up to rough play and wash after wash. The zippers are incredibly sturdy. The material seems to get softer after each washing and looks brand new, even after several months of use.

On to the added bonus!

The Whirl XT is nearly the perfect height for use during doggy style and since the pillow lives on our bed anyway, it is always easily accessible. Its stiff foam center does not crush under my weight in this position. Sometimes, I wish the Whirl was just a little shorter (in height, not length). We tried to place it under my hips during modified missionary, with my feet on my husband's shoulders, and we found the Whirl to be about 2-3 inches too tall (the wedge works best). Neither of us could find a way to make this position work for us with the Whirl. We also tried it under his knees, while I was riding cowgirl and reverse; with the Whirl under his knees, it prevented the deeper penetration, which is my number one benefit of this position.

We tried all the positions Liberator suggested and the only one we could get to work for us was doggy...until we discovered one on our own, just the other night!

You see, one of my husband's favorite positions for anal sex involves him laying on his back, while I lay on top of him - face up, with my back on his chest, the backs of my legs on top of his legs, and the bottoms of my feet on the tops of his feet (this way he just flexes and relaxes his feet, making me sort of rock up and down his body, but it makes his shins and calves tired quickly). This position gives him plenty of access to my boobs and the back of my neck...God, how I love it when he kisses the back of my neck...anyway, I digress. With the Whirl XT under his calves, I am able to put my feet in the middle of it (between his calves) and rock myself back and forth and grind into him. This position allows me so much freedom! I can easily push my feet into the Whirl, raise my hips and thrust onto him; all with very little effort on my part! He can lay back, completely relax, and enjoy me making love to him!

I love that all Liberator fabrics are water-resistant and washable. There are no worries either of us will get sloppy or drippy and create a mess, just unzip and toss in the wash! I have given my husband a massage and dripped oil down the side of the Whirl. I thought for sure the oil stain would remain after washing. I was pleasantly surprised when I removed it from the dryer and realized the oil was completely gone.

If I could change anything about the Whirl XT, it would be to offer it in different sizing options. I would like to have one 3" high and another 6" high. The 3" would be perfect as a neck roll and the 6" would be better suited for use between my knees while spooning or for the under the hip positioning, while rolling back and forth on it with my feet up in the air.

We decided by adding 6-8" to the length of the Whirl, it would better aid in use while under my husband's knees during cowgirl. As it is now, his knees often slip off one side or the other.

If the sizing options become available, I am going to need another closet to start storing all my Liberator products in.
