Take A Whirl

The Liberator Whirl is an excellent multi-purpose rounded pillow. It can be used for support, positioning, and for relaxation. Users can either lie over it, across it, or place it under areas of the body for elevation or comfort.

Liberator makes top quality products. The design and craftsmanship on the Whirl is no different. It is made with firm, high quality foam that is protected with a waterproof cover. The Whirl is then personalized by choosing your choice of the several different microfiber cover colors. The microfiber is soft and comfortable to lie on. Liberator's microfiber is likewise moisture resistant. Further, when the inevitable stains happen, you simply unzip the cover and throw it in your washing machine with your clothes. Once it is clean, pull the cover back over the Whirl, zip it up, and you are ready to play again. The zipper is nicely designed to keep the user from feeling it. The stitching and seams are well done. We have had our Whirl for almost two years. It still looks brand new and has kept its color. There are no signs of wear on it.

The Whirl is intended for use either on its own as a position aid or as a supplement with the other Liberator pillows. Unlike some of the other Liberators, the Whirl is completely discreet as it is a round oblong pillow. It can therefore be kept out. The Whirl can be used to lie across (body across it) during sexual activity to create a rolling motion, or over it (body in parallel over it) as a support. The latter is particularly good for rear entry positions. It can also be used to support various body parts, especially legs. For instance, during cowgirl or reverse cowgirl, it can be used by the bottom partner under the knees for support. Alternatively, during missionary it can be placed under the shins of the top partner to create a nice leverage angle. We have particularly enjoyed using the Whirl as an angle and support tool for various positions. For instance, during oral sex we enjoy the recipient being elevated on a Ramp or Wedge. The giver can then be use the Whirl under the chest area to rest on.

Liberator packs their pillows in plain cardboard boxes of good quality. The pillows are shipped inside plastic bags within the boxes. Liberator also sends a small booklet of position ideas with their pillows. No real instructions are necessary. The plain box is fine for packing and travel. As stated before, the Whirl itself is discreet as it is simply a firm foam rounded pillow. It will therefore travel well.

The Whirl, just like Liberator's other microfiber covered pillows, is very easy to care for. When stains happen, simply unzip the cover and run it through your washing machine. Once clean, put it back over the Whirl, zip it up and resume play. We suggest that you wash the cover once before the first use, just as you might with some new clothing. The material tends to have a little rough graininess to it if you do not wash it first. A quick run through the wash will get rid of that forever. We sometimes keep out Whirl on top of the bed as a back support and as decoration due to its discreet nature. We alternatively just push it under the bed.

As the stock photo shows, the Whirl can laid across lengthwise for rear entry positions. This is fun and tends to naturally open the partner on the bottom in a visually delicious way. My wife sometimes likes to lie this way with a small bullet placed on top of the Whirl while I slowly and gently penetrate her from behind to keep the bullet from moving away from her "sweet spot." Alternatively, we enjoy having my wife lie crossway across the pillow for rear entry positions so that as we move the pillow gently rolls under her creating a very erotic rhythm. As mentioned above, the Whirl is also a delightful way of propping up a partner's legs under either the ankles or knees for both positioning and for comfort.

We got our Whirl at the same time we got our Ramp/Wedge combo. As people who are fast approaching 50, we had found that we got fatigued or sore from maintaining some positions. In particular, I have herniated disks in my lower back. The Liberator pillows have greatly reduced the fatigue and soreness. I have specifically found that the Whirl under my knees when my wife is on top both helps me thrust, and keeps pressure off my lower back. Similarly, when we are in a missionary type position, hooking my feet over the Whirl creates both a nice leverage point for thrusting and is also good for keeping pressure off the lower back.
We also enjoy using the Whirl for non-sexual relaxing. While it is too high to use under the neck as a headrest, it is delightful to put behind the back for sitting around.
